They called from a blocked number leaving this 855 number as a call back number. They threaten legal action if you dont respond within 24 hours which is just a scare tactic they use to try and get you on the phone.

I was served papers from these guys at my job, going to call and see what it's in regards to.. Anyone know?

I was served with documentation pursuant of a civil action suit, from Kramer Gallagher and Associates. This number is in fact their toll free number and I'm currently working with them to avoid further legal action, ie attorney fees and actually going to court for monies that I've owed in the past. If you've received calls from them and you are not willing to respond, it is likely you do not wish to handle your financial obligations. For the most part they've been extremely professional, albeit, given the nature of their calls I can see why most would misconstrue the validity of their office. I've owed a credit card bill for years and I've actually now broken it down into a reasonable repayment plan, most of the interest added onto the account was waived.

This company is a scam that buys illegal accounts. DO NOT PAY THEM!

Well then, "BigDon", you will have information pertaining to this outfit. It will be on that "documentation" that you were "served". So cough it up! Give us this outfits physical address. Tell us the signing judges name & jurisdiction. The summons number. The name of their attorney(s). The name(s) of the plaintiffs. ANYTHING verifiable.
You won't post anything but BS. You registered here for the express purpose of down voting the negative reports. Not very smart "don". Admin. has been alerted. You & "Tammy" can expect your posts to be looked at & when the IP comes out to be the same, nice red stamps will appear. Lowly invalid debt scammers are universally despised here "don". Do not call these people back. I just got a call from this number and said his name was "William" and he is from Kramer and Gallagher Associates. These people are low life pathetic scammers. I have no debt and if I did I would have paid it. Do not give them a dime and do not call them back. Big Don above works for the company. Scare tactics don't work on this guy! I give two "[***]" about these scammers. Makes me laugh actually.

Well, I did call them back. I did not explode or drop off the face of the earth. I called back before looking up their number. When I heard 'fraud' - I was concerned because someone has used my name and social security number for filing IRS taxes - forcryingoutloud - over the last few years. SO, I was worried that there was some crap out their happening and this was a legitimate complaint about some crap that someone else did using my name.

But, yeah, completely bogus from what I can see. Called them back and asked for "Ian" who had left his number. They asked me what number had been called as they had a 'rather large operation.' Then, miraculously, a man comes on the phone and identifies himself as the man who is 'Ian' and I ask what is going on here (rather sternly.) He asks, again, for the phone number that was called and says that he cannot find this. I ask him 'how can you call in the first place if you do not have me listed with that phone number.' He says: "Just a moment" while I hold on for a minute or two to silence. I ask what is going on. No answer. No answer. I hang up, call back and leave a message for them to stop bothering me as this man 'Ian' does not even leave a last name or an account or reference number to what they are 'investigating.'

I did not know it at the time but, yes, PURELY BOGUS.

Well if you were served papers you'd have a pretty good idea what the matter was about, wouldn't' you?

These people keep calling. They are desperate people. Really bogus. After you have been quite blatant with them, they will try to contact you via 'Restricted' or 'Unknown Caller' phone numbers. It is kinda scary when you think about it because, obviously, there are a few people working this scam and they've put a lot of effort into it to try and pull this off. Before I ended the call, I said: "Oh. Please, let me know how I can take care of this. WHO can I send money to?" Yeah, right. They threaten court, embarrassment with process servers and using the recording of the conversation in court. Why do these people orchestrate all of this? Because there are people out there stupid enough to send them money or they would not be wasting their lives doing this. PLEASE do not be one of those stupid people.

I have received a really scary call today also from the same people...first she said Kramer Gallagher then she said she is witH SRG ASSoc.  Said process server would be to my house in  48hrs with 4 counts of fraud for an unpaid online payday loan??? I called the NY Attorney Generals office, they said to ignore the calls.  I agree but, didn't someone else just say they actually did have papers served? WTF HOW IS THIS OK?

There are those TROLLS that claim to have been served.  They are shills (or employees) of the company.  You are not warned if you are to be served.

The forms are very easy to fill out and the more consumers do it,  the more attention it will receive. But please visit this website and you will see the originator of some of these SCAM artists. Looks like the ring leader could use another pork chop. Let's shut him down, and let him get his pork chops in prison. ;)

No genuine business matters are initiated by phone calls from strangers!

If anyone has legitimate business with us, they will HAVE to mail a bill, just like everyone else does!  Or, please get Sheriff Dempsey's staff to bring the summons and documentation out here to the house.  We ain't going to play games with your azz on our phone!
