I received a text offering me 50% off DirecTV using the promo code eBay.   I blocked this number because I just finished speaking with their Technical Service representative.

I received a text offering 50% off my DTV monthly bill by using the code EBAY. I called 1-855-890-3239 chose 0, rep came on the line and asked how much is my monthly bill?!? Then she told me if I pay 5mos of my monthly bill upfront I'll receive the 50% discount. I IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP

Thank you for you input. I received the same offer via text. I was suspicious so I looked up the number online and found your comments. One can't be too careful or suspicious.

Got a text as well to save 50% off my direct bill using code Ebay & prepaying 6 months on a separate money card.  When I mentioned it seemed like a scam, they called me a name I cannot repeat.

Dude,I actually called the Number. The Guy was so Rude when I asked if they were indeed Direct TV so I ended the call. I almost fell for it!!!

I received a text with this number to call abt a DirectTV Discount. It’s a Whole Scam,they are not DirectTV. U will lose Ur Money.

I contacted Directv this is a scam that they know of please do not return this call

I received the same text message 2 days ago. I did call the number and was told if I pay months ahead@ 50% of my bill I would not have to pay anything for 5 months and then for the next year my bill would be 50% of my current bill.
I am so glad that I read all of these comments because I almost fell for this scam. I was going to call them back today and accept the deal. How gullible can I be?

Again, forward all suspicious and unwanted texts to 7726 which is the code used by most cell carriers for reporting scam. If it is not accepted, call your carrier to verify the correct code. Do not call them back or respond to the text, instead forward it, then delete and block.
