Text said I had virus in phone. Contact AppleCare. Phone number

I had a message pop up on my iPad and said I had a virus and that it would take over my system to call this number immediately Apple Care 1-855-900-0960. A foreigner answered and the call was like talking on a walkie talkie. We each had to take turns talking. This was definitely a SCAM and NOT Apple Care.

I had an alert from this number stating it was Apple Care and a virus had attacked my phone

I received a pop up on safari saying my phone had been attacked by a virus and that ishould call apple care IMMEDIATELY I called on my landline and a man named Sam answered he asked me what had I received and if I was calling on the infected phone. I lied and said yes and he said would you wait just a moment. The line went dead and after several minutes I hung up. I had my grand daughter get the message off my phone. So moral of the story DO. NOT. ANSWER. It’s obviously spyware.

Received a alert on phone saying my phone was infected with malware. This was a notice that appeared on Pinterest

I received the same message while on Pinterest. I googled the number and saw that it was not the correct number for Apple care so I didn’t bother calling.

This is a SCAM

I got a pop up on my IPhone with a message claiming my phone was infected with a virus. It stated to call this number to contact Apple Care. I checked to see if it was the correct number for Apple Care and after reading all the comments here I'm just going to ignore and delete it.

I had a call tonight saying my phone had a virus. They guy kept trying to get me to say yes!!!!

Same Apple Care call on my landline.  About as far from Apple as you can get.  Scam Fail.

got this message on my new system 10. they wanted to sell a firewall which is all ready part of system 10. total scam!
