Got a warning message to call this number to remove viruses from my Mac book air. Person that answered want to remote access my computer. I of course said no. Some sort of scam.

I made fun of the guy, called him a scam artists. told him he doesn't even have the qualities to be a fry cook at McDonalds.  He was a tool, a scam artists and anyone who would allow these individuals to remote control their pc and pay $350-$780 to repair their PCs deserve the loss.  These people are not affiliated with apple or microsoft, they are not partners of any company, they sole purpose is to steal your money.

Computer froze with warning notice.  Same as Ed above me.  I restarted the computer and its fine

Virus warnings keep popping up on my PC - so many that it is not functional. I restarted and got a similar warning with this number. I called and they wanted remote access. I hung up, but any ideas how to make them stop?

It sounds like you really do have a virus on your system, put there by the people behind that number.   Do not call them, they will pretend to help you to only milk you for your money.

Get some free antivirus programs like Avast, AVG or Microsoft Security Essentials and remove it yourself.  If you do not feel you can do it, please take it to a brick and mortar computer store.  DO NOT call that number and let them remote in,

Total, absolute, unabashed, criminal activity, showing a fake message and getting you to call a number.  Kiss your money goodbye, and most of your computer, too.  If this happens in Chrome, kill one process at a time until the bad one goes away, then try to remember what site you visited that caused it and never go there again.  Clipconverter.cc is one of those.
