They said no ma'am we can if you go local you're going to pay a lot of money. the worst part is my computer was screeching noises and the only way I could stop it was to just turn the computer off manually I do not want to do that. there's finally gave me the name platinum technical then I had to have tried to get the website from them Tech station 24 7 dot com does anyone know if there's anything we can do without this?
- mathfreak231Fake virus warnings list this number as Norton tech support. Do not call.
- David replies to NancyJust happened to me. Didn't seem right. Thanks for posting!
- DeanaSame thing as above, A warning came up and it looked official and posed as Norton. When I called the number listed they wanted to charge $90.00 to fix it. There was also an annoying beeping sound. When I restarted the computer, the warning and the beeping came back up. I am trying MalwareBytes to get rid of it now. It won't let me do anything so I have to go to safe mode.
- BCall taker was from EPC Assistance. Charged $109.00, some info was legit, other bits of info were very suspicious. Very concerning
- AlisonDo not call! I think they are hackers! They wanted a lot of information and I had to unplug my computer. Very scary because they were able to get some things from me before I realized that it was a scam! They wanted to know if I did my banking on line. That is when I got suspicious. Do not call! Now I have to change everything! It looked very official too! Do not do it!

- LisaGot the same message. Called number. My husband couldn't understand what they were calling themselves - accent issue. They wanted to log in remotely and became very angry when he wouldn't agree to that. Just prior to this happening he was searching for a coupon so wonder if this is where it came from. When we rebooted, message was gone. Ran anti-virus software and nothing. We're still taking it in to be checked.
- Comp userThis is a scam!!! Don't call them.
