- dude in wichita| 1 replytyped www.cgoogle.com by mistake. Realized, as it was loading, that it was the wrong web address, tried to back out and then my computer is telling me that it has been hacked and to call this number. So googled the number and nothing came up, so looked here to see if anything appeared. Nothing. Called the number and I get a guy I can barely hear with all the people background noise, sounding from India possibly, saying he is an apple/windows IT guy and wanted to know how I could help him. Sounded too fishy, or I got a hacked computer. Who knows, but I'll go run McAfee and see what pops up there.
- John in KC replies to dude in wichitaSame thing happened to me. Get a Polish language screen that keeps overlaying eBay screen, then get message to call this number. Cannot get out of the screen telling me to call this number. Ran McAfee scan and it got stuck at 67%, Ran TrendMicro scan and it finished OK with no malware found. Have you found a workaround?
- judy smithSuspicious. They are capable of remotely accessing your computer to generate business. Be aware. They first cause your computer to freeze - to unfreeze you must call the number 855-900-6748 to unfreeze it by giving them access to your computer. Giving them access to your computer is done by them instructing you to following their specific instruction and by dialing the numbers they dictate. The next thing you notice is that their mouse is all over your computer screen as it is now controlled by 855-800-6748 or their company. All your content and business is accessible and controlled by them. To resolve the problem you have to hire them to fix the mess for a lot of money to regain control and access to your computer. Best to use ctrl, alt, delete to avoid situation.
