Received a computerized call saying it was Sun Trust/Truist Bank about my new mortgage, and instructing me or my wife (using our legal names) to call this number and put in a Personal Message Code number to discuss something about our mortgage.  Instead I called the Customer Service number from my bank statement, and they confirmed that this number is not one of theirs, and it's most likely a scam.

Received a computerized call saying it was Sun Trust/Truist Bank about my new mortgage, and instructing me to call this number and put in a Personal Message Code number for a message. I called back and the message was asking me if I want to switch to e-statements. I did and that was it. Seems legit.

I strongly suggest you contact Suntrust/Truist immediately using the number on their website which is  NOT an 855 number.  The 855 area code is loaded with scammers!!

To Matt:  I already have e-statements but "they" called.  I don't think this is legit.
