Received a call from Jessica Davenport (least that is what she claimed her name is). She first claimed that someone put us down as a reference. A name I had never heard before, Ernest Sims in Waterloo, Iowa. We don't know anyone by that name. I said, I'd ask my husband to make certain but I was fairly certain already that we don't him.
So then she says he has a case pending against him and she is trying to get a hold of him. So now the story has changed.
So I start to dig. First... she called me on 941-724-8307. This is noted as a scam number on many different pages.
Second she gave me the 855-944-5944 number. I block my cell phone number and call it and it is her same voice claiming LW Management. So I do some more searching and there is no legit company by that exact name with that phone number.
She gives me some phony case number of DJ224-2511 for this Ernest Sims as well.

All in all... Just another scammer!

Sounds like they target a city you might know someone in and uses that to try to sound legit.

I also got a call from Ms. Davenport. She asked me to call her back at 844-944-5944. She left on my voicemail that there was a legal dispute against me. Minutes later I got a call from my mother, my boss, and my 2 sisters!!!!!!! I was preparing to call her back but then my phone rang and I got a call from my stepfather in Texas, who I have not spoken with in over 5 years and my aunt and uncle in Mississippi who I have not seen in over a year. She told them all that I had a legal dispute being filed against me. I called my local court house and they said it was a scam. I called An attorney in Des Moines and in Iowa if you are the recipient of a call you DO NOT HAVE TO TELL THE OTHER PARTY THAT YOU ARE RECORDING THE CONVERSATION FOR THE TAPE TO BE USED IN COURT!!! I waited and sure enough Ms. Davenport called me back and put a Mr. Freeman on the phone and told me that I owed hometown cash $580 for a $200 loan but if I didn't pay up I would owe over $1000 more for legal fees. I was threatened with court and garnishments and several other unlawful things. My attorney said I have a good case and I will be moving forward with this lawsuit.  He said over 20 violations were made.

Hopefully this helps others. Get a tape recorder, wait for them to call you, then you don't have to tell them that the conversation is being recorded so that way they won't stop threatening you. Maybe for once these scum can be shut down and lets make some money off these jerks for once.

Got called about my brother. Jessica Davenport told me about all his business. I thought that was illegal? My brother WILL NOT be calling.
