855-972-3537 popped up on my computer stating that I may have a virus and that I should contact this number immediately.  once I called, a computer voice told me to pick either computer virus issues or software issues, I picked virus issues.  Once the "tech" answered I asked, (very nicely) if he could give me his companies name,  I was told,  "well this isn't my company"  so I asked could you provide me with the name of the company you work for he hung up.
They didn't call me they invaded my computer then said hey call this number and now I'll fix it.

I just had the exact same thing pop up on my computer, I called number and never got transferred to a live person. It disconnected me each time I pressed "1" for possible virus issues. Running my virus software now for any potential threats.

Thought it might be a scam.  Didn't 't call.  Glad I googled the number. @ the suggestion of my bro-in-law

I am in IT and have seen a few of these today. It is the usual 'fake av' type of malware. These POSes are outside the US so prosecution isn't realistic, unfortunately.

I just got the same pop up. I called the number to see what the name of the company was but got left on hold too long & i hung up. Running anti virus now.

I received the same popup as others noted, telling me I have a virus and to call 855-972-3537 before all of my info gets hacked. I know enough about computers and the Internet to suspect this is a hack and a scam, so I Googled the number and here I am. Too much of this stuff out here anymore, and it's mostly from other countries so there isn't much we can do about it. I'm running MalwareBytes now. Be safe and vigilant everyone!

Pop up on I-pad saying adware & spyware may be on my I-pad .After calling a Indian accented man said that adware & spyware was detected & wanted $49.99 to remove it from I-pad. I was in a relatives home so I did not want to mess with their internet service so I put the guy off & got his phone # to call back later, once I knew serial #'s . Then checked out the phone # and found it is a scam in the UK.
