This number actually appeared on my safari browser accompanied by a message from http://system-virus-detected.com. The pop-up window suggests I call 1-855-977-0087 to resolve a virus/malware issue. Seems suspect to me.

I got the same message tonight

Don't call. Fraud. They act just like apple support but their logo is different and then they ask you to download some support software, have remote access and then ask for your credit card. I realized at that point that it was fake, googled the error and saw it was not legitimate. APPLE WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO CALL THROUGH A POP UP OR TO PAY FOR ANYTHING THROUGH THE PHONE. I immediately after called an apple representative who helped me clear my computer of any possible malware.

Got that pop up message too totally freaked out but immediately googled it glad I'm not the only one few DO NOT CALL!!!

I called after the error popped up. The "tech" had me on the phone for a few minutes, but as soon as he ran the computer check through the internet, I knew something was suspect. I immediately hung up and called a Mac rep for help.
