These guys (Midland Credit Mgmt.) are your run of the mill low lives that buy either very old or statute expired debt in bulk for 5 to 10 cents on the dollar and using semi (and I mean semi) legal tactics try to collect 20 to 30 cents on the dollar. Then of course they sell the reminder of the debt to either their affiliates in another state of some ambulance chasing law firm. In case you don't know, as soon as you pay $1 to settle your debt, the date rests to day one, and their letter of settlement to you, is only good for the debt with them. So when they sell it, well you get the drift. By the way, the only way to deal with low lives like these, is through your state authorities. They all have figured out how to get around the Feds, long time ago!
