Got a call from a blocked number. Melissa Lewis from the processing service center, or something like that. Claimed there was a court summons and if I wouldn't be on the premises to answer the summons, they'd track down my place of employment. Then said I needed to contact the originating firm's local legal dept ASAP. Gave me a "case number." I know enough to know that, for a court summons, you don't get a call to verify you'll be present to receive it. It just comes to you. So that alone lets me know this is a bogus call. Plus it came from a blocked number. Legit calls will come from an actual number. I got this number b/c "Melissa" left it on my vm to call back.

Same here just got the call same thing said I owe 5/3 bank and they're sueing me for 1000 cause of a check I never write checks so I told him I'll get my lawyer he told me if I can afford a lawyer then I can pay the 400 settlement I told him dnt worry I have legal aid he got mad  and told me they're coming to my job first off he didn't have my right address so I know it's a scam

I just got the same exact call except I was offered a 700$ settlement and told I'm being charged with misdemeanor fraud!

Got the same call today.  They said that an officer was on his way to serve me papers for a debt to a bank we don't  use.  They were very persistent, and wanted $1900 over the phone!.  They knew I caught them in the lie, and told me I better  never call them again.

This number is calling cell phones of my family leaving threatening messages.  They even called the people that used to live in my house before me.   I tried to call it but had to leave a voice message   The only possible thing I can think of since people are saying its from fifth third is that I had overdraft protection of 200.00 back in 2011 which i thought was paid but possibly not.    I have a checking account now though that I had no problems getting.  I don't know but I am pretty sure its illegal for them to be calling people and leaving messages like that

Got a call said I owe 1500.00 to Best Bank and they were trying to set time for sheriff to serve me.  I too have opened several back accounts with no problem.

Got a call from a local number (425-553-3319) asking for my daughter. They had her name and my name and said my number had been listed as a contact. She gave me this number and a case number and said to have my daughter contact them. Refused to identify herself or her company, and rang off abruptly after giving the "case number."
