Called and left message for my disabled son for a medical bill from 2010.  Name was Keith.  Argued with me because I told him the bill was not legitimate. Told me I was the reason my son was disabled.  Very rude. I suggest everyone report them to the attorney general as well as the fcc. I am.

Lexington Law, well known debt scammers.  The FCC does not have jurisdiction over debt collectors.  Since the CFPB is under attack by the current administration who wants its buddies in the banking business to easily steal and rob from us, I would suggest that you report to the FTC.

I received a voicemail  from a Victoria from County Process Servers saying I was being sued and to call this number with a case number. After calling the number I spoke with a man who demanded I send 1100.00. He was extremely rude and threatened to garnish wages etc. It was supposed to be a hospital bill from 2008. He would not give me any information about the Law Office. This is nothing but some thief try to bully money out of people. I reported it to my local police who told me to just ignore any other calls.
Sorry attempt to take my money!!

Received a call at my office, from private number, claiming to be a Process Server saying they had an incorrect address. I work in law setting, we receive subpoenas, filings, etc. daily, so I found it odd they would have an old address. I started asking questions when she said it was for me personally, not my firm, and the person got more and more uncomfortable. She gave me a court "docket" number and a phone number for the attorney to contact to get info, Lexington Law Group, which I have never heard of. A quick search of the Michigan Bar told me there was no such firm. I then hurriedly searched the case systems for Macomb County Courts they indicated the filing was from and it didn't exist nor did anything come up with my last name. I let her know this and she panicked saying she only does as she's told, gave the phone number again and hung up. I called the number and gave the docket number, was told it wasn't a correct number and was put on hold. I was transferred to an Edward Blake in Litigation, who confirmed he was not an attorney. Told me I had a bill with a hospital from October 2, 2010; one 50 miles away, I have never been to especially on a Saturday. Mr. Blake said I owed $1,181.02 because the original small bill had been incurring interest. Every question I asked I got "I am glad you are acknowledging this debt" along with a statement that they would see me in court next week. Mr. Blake gave me an account number for the hospital and told me my and my husband's wages would be garnished, we would have bench warrants etc. I called BS, started schooling him on legal practices and he hung up. I called the hospital, just in case my memory is faulty and spoke with the Billing Office. Had them search my and my husband's names, as well as all of our children's names. Nothing. They sent me to the Business Office who confirmed the same, no bills and that we hadn't ever been there from what they could tell. I was sent to their legal department who gladly took all the information I could give them. It is obviously a scam and I imagine many people panic and pay, which is sad. Do your research people before handing over your hard earned money.

I received a call asking me if I would be available to be summoned tomorrow. I was told that this would be a attempt to collect a debt for a medical bill I owe for $700 for back in 2010. I was in college and under my moms insurance at the time. Guy tried to go back and fourth with me and I got big right with his behind. Because they were being very rude and demanding. Not going to fool me. Called the hospital and they have no records of the so call medical bill.

Just received a message from my uncle that this number tried to call me, the message that was left was “This is Tyler with process server dispatch an attempt to issues out a summons to appear at court at xxx address (vacated 5 years ago) if you will not be available to sign and accept for these documents or if you require further information you are going to need to contact the legal firm that is handling the case against you. Their number is 855-984-0860 case reference number 2017-177992.” I immediately called BS nothing sounded correct about this. Looked up to make sure there weren’t any warrants out for me or any pending suits (there weren’t) then checked this number. Can’t wait for them to call me at my real number so I can mess with them! Haha. Best way to fight back? Take up as much of their time as possible with your own BS!

The problem with "do your research" is that no one needs to do anything.  The law says that they must not only prove that you owe the debt, but that they have the legal right to collect it.  Since you said that you are in Michigan, I believe that they need a collection license there.

Best way to fight back is to get as much information as possible and use it to both report and to sue them.

First call came as as blocked number as "Unknown" with a voicemail left.  The womans reports she is a "service processor" for some county, that sounded like Mericle County.  Hard to copy, and mentions a court filing with a docket number.  Then wants a call back at 855-984-0860 for the law firm handing the case. First time I called the rep said my number would be removed from the list.  Then 2 days later same message again.  Phone number is new with no buisness listed.  Unable to discern which state they are calling from.

I received an unknown number call from a lady named Victoria Castillo.  Supposedly I had a summons to appear in court in a city that I haven't lived in for over a decade.  I called the Circuit Clerk direct instead of calling them back.  No case number on file and when I gave the real circuit clerk my name and they ran it, nothing there either.  I called the number back and had a little fun.  I didn't give them the case number nor my real name, tied up their line and had the male Rep get abusive.  When he noticed that it wasn't affecting me, he then put a female colleague on the phone.  I had fun with her too and when they were still abusive, I kept calm, but started asking graphic, sexual questions.  I told them that I had nothing but time.  I just attempted to continue to tie up the lines.  That is how you get them.  Tie up the lines.
