Comes up as (856) 485-1019 NJ, USA on the screen. I answered and he asked about a factory warranty on my vehicle. Then said he will transfer me to someone else and then hung up.

Received a call today from 856-485-1019 (NJ area code) at 3:44PM.  Didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.  Did some digging and found it's a telemarketer trying to sell people vehicle service warranties for cars that they surmise are now no longer covered under factory or dealership warranty.  Don't fall for it, it's a scam and the warranties they try to sell you aren't worth the paper they're written on.

Called this number back and got an automated message that they were calling on behalf of Google to verify my business. That if I did not verify my "business" it would be removed from Google search results. Oh my. I have kids to feed. What should I do? I need Google!!! I neeeeeed it!  Oh wait, I don't have kids or a business. Whew!

Your best bet is to add them to your auto-reject list on your phone. If you don't have a smart phone you can call your provider for details.

Called said they are calling about insurance.

Called the number back from my landline and an operator said "We're sorry the call cannot be completed at this time, Please hang up and try your call again later." I call again, same message. I then called back from my cell phone and it just rang, no  answer. However, I have gotten calls from telemarketers trying to sell auto warranties. So, as I read one of the experiences before mine, I realize  that this was most likely the case for me as well!
