A male called from "Tony's Pizza" to tell me that "the credit card I used for the pizza ordered didn't go through" and he would "need another one because the delivery driver was almost at my house".  

The funny thing?  I didn't order any pizza nor did anyone in my house--which he suggested was the case.  He had some fake charges that he referenced for these "three cheese pizzas", but, when I told him that nobody had ordered the pizza, he said "that someone ordered it, and was going to have to pay for it".  

I asked him what address his driver as delivering to, and he dodged answering the question.  I asked him again, and, when he inquired about me using a different credit card, I hung up on him.  

Clearly, it was a scam, and he was looking to steal my credit card info; it was just surreal to have someone try such a dumb scam on the phone.  Hopefully, anyone else receiving similar calls will be just as careful.

I had the same call last night.

Call from this number. Tony's pizza. Wants credit card info. Get's abusive.

I just got the same call but different number from Tony,s pizza.

Got this same call today. I didn't bother giving them credit card info, then it turned out it was a prank call.

This idiot just tried the same thing with me. He called from 617-773-1445 (looks like a quincy #). Same story.. hope he gets caught

Just had this call last night. From 519-939-9401. Exactly the same thing. Three cheese pizzas were on the way to my house and that my credit card was declined. I told him I didn't order any, and he said "well I don't know, maybe someone in your house did. It's not my problem, they're on their way!". I asked for the address, and he dodged the question as well.

I hung up on him.

I had someone call but from 508 320 6880. He pretty much said the exact same thing.

I had them call me today… i'm in australia and they used an australian number… 0400 887 696… exactly the same script...

Just got the same call in Toronto... looks like this has been going on for a long time.  What a lame attempt at a scam.

Speaking of clueless, here you are!  When people are asked for their CC numbers, it is not a prank!  Nor is it a laughing matter!

had the exact same thing happen to me at 11 at night. Except i instantly smelled somewhing was up and pussed him off till he hung up. Called from the same number as a local chain though

Same dude. Same Story. I [***] with him for a while, though... the moron was thrilled when I started feeding him what seemed to be a plausible CC numbers...it was fun.

I live in nc they called from 704-819-2525 the messed up part is the number is eerily similar to my number. It messes with me a bit

same exact call but it was to my work phone, which is a great clips. different phone number than the rest.

i got the same call 10 mins ago and the man said that i had ordered 3 cheese pizzas and that my card details hadn't went through i just hung up it came through as no caller ID
