Penland&DaveWalker - BigA replies to Dr. Wilma Wilkins| 2 repliesIt is actually not a bad idea. I might sign it myself. I don't know if they are then going to ask for money or not. From that website:Quote:This “Contract From the American People” was authored by Texas businessman, Mr. Joe Penland, Sr., and Hon. David M. Walker, former Comptroller General of the United States, based on their combined citizen education and engagement experience over time. Let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. We appreciate hearing from you.
We ask that everyone in support of this document sign on our website that they will support the candidate that supports the Contract. At the right time, we will approach the candidates and try to get their commitment that they will do their very best to implement the content of the Contract from the American People. - Frank-Gorsky replies to BigA
I cannot find anything on their site that asks for money. Out of curiosity, I "signed" their "contract" (more properly a "petition" since at this point it is one sided, with no candidate as the other side having agreed to abide by it). I will return to this thread when/if I receive a reply and report on what I was sent, especially if there is a request for money.BigA wrote:I don't know if they are then going to ask for money or not. - Frank-Gorsky replies to BigAI said I would return and let everyone know whatever replies I might receive after signing their contract.
The following is the only response I have received; an email that did not have any request for money and thanking me for "the big voter turnout":Joe From Texas wrote:November 6, 2024
Dear Frank,
On behalf of Joe From Texas, thank you for the big voter turnout! We appreciate all of you braving the weather and long lines in order to cast your vote, especially those who voted for President Trump.
Our country will be in a much better position since the Dream Team is going into office on January 20, 2025. This is like the first leg of the Triple Crown. I will make a comparison to a quote from one of my favorite movies, “Secretariat.” After winning the Kentucky Derby, Penny was asked about the possibility of a Triple Crown. She stated, “We still have a lot of work to do, but at least we've given ourselves the chance.” In this instance, we’ve also given ourselves a chance.
I strongly believe that we need 12 more years to get the country back on track. President-elect Trump and the team can, and will, get a lot done in the next 4 years. We can then turn our focus on making sure that the next nominee gets elected for two more terms to complete our own Triple Crown.
Sincerely,
Joe Penland, Sr.

I took another look at their website; nothing has changed since I last posted here.
There is a link at the bottom of the email to opt-out, I will be clicking it shortly (my curiosity has been satisfied).
