I did but it was a Mediation Co .... the guy who called said they handle legal matters but he had the wrong number he was looking for somebody else

Said they were amlocating service

Said they call wrong number

Said I only had 48hrs to respond and to call at this number about something in prelitigation. Couldn’t understand who he was calling for and sounded like he was following a script

Department of Civil Processing from CRS & Associates. Caller claims to be either a David Wallace or David Anderson/may use adapted number from New York as well. States whomever they are calling has 48 hours to contact them back pertaining to either pre-litigation statements or that you are being "put on a schedule to be served legal paperwork and you should plan on seeing them either at your place of employment or home within the next 24-48 hours." Leaves a case number that is most likely internal. Contacted Circuit Clerk and no claims petitioned/searched statewide and nothing has been filed or petitioned in my name. Regardless, this company is violating FTC stipulations, as they call late into the night/early before 8am, weekends, and holidays. In addition, they call numerous times a day and leave personal information on voice mails- such as the person they are calling for name, that they are pursuing legal action against said party, and sound menacing when they state that they will show up a the parties work/home and that they are in legal trouble, so their attorney should contact them. This company appears to be legitimate, however, their tactics are not. If you are being harassed by them, call the FTC and file a complaint (Fair Trade Commission)

Received a call from a Willie Thomas. He sated he wanted to get a explanation from me before they served me with papers. He left a message at my job and cell. Is there any way to stop these fraudulent calls?

The next time they call, let them know they are being recorded (legal in most states), and demand a legitimate mailing address in which to send a debt validation letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. If they refuse, tell them your attorney and your state's AG will get this information for you and hang up

Ryan calling for person who is not me, apparently I inherited her phone number as I have received calls from numerous collection agencies for her. Calling from CRS, been retained in a pre litigation yada yada, 48 hours to call etc. Number to call him was 866-207-7019 ext. 318 but when he called it appeared as a local phone number.

This is a debt scammer trying to intimidate and harass people into paying a debt they do not owe.
A Phone Call is NOT Legal Notice of a debt. Nor is a FAX or an email.  Do not call back, that only keeps them trying and they will start to get threatening.

As real as a $3 bill.  As real as Santa Claus.  As real as the cow that jumped over the moon.

Left messages at work to call regarding summons

Got 3 voicemails from a Clifford Noel, regarding service of legal documents in which I was named  respondent, (family court) in civil or criminal courts you are labeled  plaintiff or defendant. First mistake , that call was in July , now August and another call  stating that I must call within 48 hours and provide a statement , not informing me of to what this civil suit or by whom was pursuing said litigation against me.  Checked local civil courts calendar not anything on docket. Fake calls some sort of scam. I don't have any debt nor family court matters . Children are grown . So scam some how.????

I got this exact same voicemail this morning. Scam.

Message on voicemail left by Tim Thornton from Department of Civil Processing from CRS & Associates.to call back regarding litigation for a gentleman I had never heard of before.  I called them back at the extension they left and told them to remove my phone number from the file.  I will have to wait and see if I get more calls in the future from them.

Phony Debt scammer.  I think you can expect more calls.  A call is NOT legal notice of a debt.  Ignore the calls and block the numbers.  Never call them back.
