- C. Ingle| 1 replyThis is what the caller said:
You just received a call from Dave Parker wanting to know the protocol for submitting a formal claim. He said it is Claim #1528666 and the law firm handling can be reached at 866-215-1039. He said if he doesn’t hear back from you he will be “serving papers” and needs to know when you are here. If the lawfirm doesn’t hear from you, he will just come by here but he doesn’t want to disrupt your business.- Caller: Didn't give a name

- Scam??I recieved a call at my place of employment from a guy and I can't remember what he said his name was. He actually called looking for me on one of my co-workers phone, which was weird. He told her that he was looking for me and that he was coming to my job to serve some papers and wanted to make sure I was there. He also asked for my Supervisor. He called back and I talked with him and he said that I have a debt that wasnt paid and he was coming to serve me some papers and he didnt want to step on any toes so he needed to talk with my Supervisor so that he can follow protocal. I asked him why did he need to speak with them. then he proceeded to give me this 866-215-1039 number and a case# 1528666.. I called that number and she wanted to set up arrangements to clear the debt, she wouldnt take a check or money order only a credit or debit card, which I thought was weird. I dont have a good feeling about this. I called that "866" number back this morning and all it said was Consolidated and to press "0", no one never picked up.

- BusinessReceived a call at place of employment asking for one of our employees - He said his name was Taylor Smith and said that this employee had 2 hours to call the phone number 866-215-1039 or he would come here and serve him papers. Also asked for the supervisor, which i did not give the call to. I told him that I looked up the number that was on our caller id: 203-816-6060 and that it was an invalid number. He said that due to the nature of his job as private investigator, the phone number is not real. I asked him if he was a debt collector and he said no, this is for a very serious crime, and this person is in a lot of trouble. surrrrre.

- CM replies to April| 1 replyI called the AG's office and before I could get through telling my story, they stopped and told me they have been getting several calls about this scam. Apparently, the people that are running this scam are from overseas so there is nothing they can do about it. The AG's office said to just ignore them which is harder because these people are slandering you to your co-workers, friends and family but eventually they lose interest. They believe that it's some of these Payday Loan places that are selling people's personal information.
- April replies to CMThanks, I kind of thought it was a scam and I'm glad i had since enough not to give them my Address and Debit card number.
- CarlettaMy sister got a call from that number and she's not very knowledge in these types of scams and they almost took her for 500! When she called me and asked if she culd borrow 500 from me because of an unpaid debt from a loan she got awhile back. She said she needed it in three days! She was so scared because they threathen to go to her job and tell her boss! I told her they couldn't do that and to give the number and she gave me the 1-866-215-1039. I then looked it up online and found that it was all a scam. I called her back and told her that they were fishing for information and it was call a scam to get money from her. She then asked, how did they know I got this loan then? As I read what CM said, it makes sense how they knew how much she owed, since these payday loans would do something like that. But it doesn't end there. She proceeds to tell me that she GAVE THEM HER DEBIT CARD INFORMATION!!! I told her to call her bank immediatley and cancel her card. She did and later I told her they will more than likely call her on the day she was suppose to have this 500 in her account once they realize they can't pull it out. And sure enough they called her and were threatnin her saying that they recorded her and she told them she contacted her attorney and they hung up. So thankfully she called me and I was able to find out about this scam.
