 I received a packet from something call the Senior Citizens Bureau.   It says I'm now a member of this group.  It sent out membership cards and so forth.  It says I'm a member for a year and the year supposedly started in 10-18-2014.  The annual fee is $22.95.  According to the BBB, this group is supposedly a 501c charity of some kind which apparently offers benefits to senior citizens according to the packet it sent out.    Discounts for various drugs and other items.
 I did not sign up for  this group.  The first I've heard of it is when I received this packet in the mail.  I don't want to be in this organization and I don't want to receive some sort of "bill" for services that I did not sign up for.  When you call the number they  give,  1-866-215-6690,  to get more information,  all the person says is -- "I'll get someone to get back to you".
 This does not seem like  a charity to me, it seems more like a scam.
 Seniors--be on the alert for this kind of stuff.

I looked it up on www.charitynavigator.org and while there is no rated charity by that name there are 100+ unrated charities.  If this is in Houston, TX it is the first one listed.  I clicked on the name and a new feature shows IRS information available.  If nothing else it would be interesting to know how they pulled your name out of a hat.
