Got an SMS from from 650283@tmomail.net which reads Urgent: Keypoint-CU-Account Frozen. Call: 866-215-8055

I called, for the heck of it. An automatic system tried to prompt me to give my debit card information.

ALERT: Protect Yourself against SMS Phishing Attacks

T-Mobile is committed to protecting your privacy and security. It is also important that you take steps to safeguard your personal information from “SMiShing” (SMS & Phishing) attacks. “SMiShing” occurs when a fraudster sends you a SMS/text message, asking you to provide sensitive, personal and/or financial information via a web link and false website, or a telephone number.

Recently, fraudsters have been sending text messages posing as a customer’s financial institution. The message says that there is a “recent restriction placed on your account.” It may threaten dire consequence if you don't respond immediately.
The message directs you to a toll-free number that looks just like a legitimate institution’s number, but in fact it is not.Once you have called the number or clicked on the email link, they ask you to “verify” (give them ) your sensitive information such as credit card number account number and expiration date; your Social Security Number, Bank Account Number and pass code, etc.

    Examples of fraudulent SMiShing messages:

Credit Union N.A. Please call us immediately at 1-888-xxx-xxxx regarding a recent restriction placed on your account. Thank you.
Alert!! Honolulu City & County Employees has limited your account pending verifications. Contact us NOW at 213-xxx-xxxx.

    Steps to Take

If you receive a text message that asks for sensitive information:

Do not reply to the message.
Do not click on any of the links that may be embedded in the message.
    Delete the message.
Contact your bank or financial institution directly to determine if they sent you a legitimate request. "

Got a sms (text message) from this number about five minutes ago. I knew it was a scam right away when I saw my area code then next three numbers @tmomail.net which is the e-mailing address at t-mob. They'd never mail you a sms. And if you're use to recieiving sms from T-Mobile they don't send it as Npa-Npxx@tmomail.net (XXX-XXX@tmomail.net) but thing like 456 or such. So I am not going to call the number but report it to Tmobile. And it does come as Urgent and says your account has been frozen.
