Someone at this number made an unauthorized charge to my debit card. I have called the number several times and all I get is a recording that transfers you to a voice mail... no explanation so far. I plan on reporting them to WA AG.

This is definitely fraud.  I suspect it involves paying through paypal, as the charge hit my account a day after making a payment there, and an initial 'merchant phone number' for PAYSALES WAL MART listed on my online statement that belongs to paypal.  Interestingly that information disappeared overnight, but lucky for me, I recorded it.  That 'merchant number' is 402-935-7733.  When I called it, a representative for paypal answered, and obviously could find no record of the $24.99 transaction.  In addition to reporting this fraud to your state's attorney general, it should also be reported to the FTC's online fraud site: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

I just called this number after noticing a 19.99 charge from PAYSALES WAL MART NE and the first option was  "If you do not recognize the charge on your account, press 1." I was a little hesitant but I pressed it anyway. Then when I chose the option to have it refunded they asked for the last 4 digits of my card which I was afraid to do as well... Since they already made the charge I figured there's nothing else they can do with just the last 4 digits. I didn't have any other choice either. I called Bank of America about this transaction and they said they couldn't do anything about it yet since it was still pending. They said to call back when the transaction was complete... I'm probably gonna get a new debit card.

And I also agree that this might be linked to Paypal. This charged happened a day after making an international purchase through my Paypal account. Hopefully the thing I ordered at least comes in!!

I just found a charge that say "Paysales Wal-mart" for 24.99 on my Citizens Bank account in MA.  I did some Christmas shopping on Amazon-which I assumed is pretty secure.  I haven't used PayPal so I'm not sure how my account was compromised.  I have cancelled my card-with a week before Christmas and shopping still left to do-ugh!

PS-I called the Washington AG's office and they said that without an address for "PaySales Wal-mart" they can't file a complaint.

    Any suggestions?

    I researched the phone #866-215-9082
They are out of Seattle Washington
    movieflare.com
    Their land-line # is 206-219-5382
The 866 phone number is toll free and it costs them money everytime you call them.  So please feel free to keep calling these idiots.  Be sure to *69 your phone before dialing.  That will block your number from them.  They answered one time and he sounded as tho he had a mid-east accent.  When I questioned him, he quickly hung up.  Report this to the Police, and call the Seattle Police.  Give both phone numbers to the Police, they can get an address on these thieves!
LET'S STICK TOGETHER AND GET THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got hit with this too for $24.99 from PAYSALES WAL MART 866-215-9082 NE. I call the number and get a recorded voice. I have the option to either enter the last 6 digits of the card used, leave a voice mail, or talk to a customer service representative. When I choose to speak to someone, I get a message that all are busy, some hold music, then the option to leave a voice mail message.

I've already closed the card attached, although I can't dispute it until it posts. I was also told that my phone number was attached to the charge, so who knows what other information these criminals have about me.

I haven't used my paypal account in ages, but I deleted it to be safer (never use it anyway). I think it may have been a security breach through amazon.com as I did have my card information stored on the site. I removed all of my information from there and will never have it stored again as I'm guessing that's how they got the card number and any information attached to it.

I did a whois search on the movieflare.com site, and here is the information about the owner. Contact number look familiar??

One last thing... I'm sure they use WAL MART in the transaction description to make it look like it's from a Walmart store. They're probably betting on people shopping there a lot and while talking in the phone to my bank, they mentioned walmart as being the business debiting my account which is obviously not correct (funny, because I did shop at a walmart store a few days prior and it shows up with a different description).

Also, do not enter any card numbers. I suspect they are doing that to verify they have a correct number. Notice that I was told to enter the last 6, not just the last 4.

This is the second time I've had to close a card due to fraud. If I plan on using a card online, I'm about ready to go through the hassle of getting a prepaid card or gift card for any purchases rather than be a victim yet again. It's beyond frustrating.
