Scam! Real process servers don't call or text in advance.

I got something just this morning too. I looked up the number they were trying to get me to call and it’s from India. Seems like a complete scam. I don’t have any debt either, well not that I have defaulted on.

I just got the same text for delivery today at 12:52 pm. Signature required. Did you get a delivery yesterday?

No one got a delivery. This is the fake process server scam.

What number are they trying to get you to call?

I got the same text this morning asking me to call 888-608-9947. They said I have a debt and must make a payment immediately to avoid going to court. They had old info and when i asked for documentation, they said that I was refusing to pay the loan that I got that i have ZERO knowledge of. He couldn't even give me the name of the debtor. I am guessing this is a scam?

I got this too. I was worried at first.

Definitely a scam. A real debt collector would mail you proof of the debt along with proof they're legally entitled to collect said debt. His refusal proves it's a scam.

I received this same text on 4/16. Here’s the frustrating part I received a call regarding a payday loan that I had taken out 10 years ago. They threatened me with being arrested at my place of employment. I didn’t remember anything like that so I paid it. When I called to get my receipt of payment the number was no longer in service. Now I keep getting these calls. Why won’t these people just stop?

You paid a debt you didn't remember without first getting proof of the debt?! Well, no wonder they keep calling you! You fell for their scam once so they figure you'll fall for it again.
Never pay someone who calls or texts claiming you owe money. Instead, tell them to follow the law by mailing you proof of the debt along with proof they're legally entitled to collect said debt. Phone calls, texts, emails & faxes are not legal methods of debt validation.

Calls and texts from these idiots for 2 days.  Same amounts, same story, different case numbers.  I have asked for the civil litigation number and "Richard" hangs up.  I have access to court records as I work in the legal field.  This is most definitely a scam.  Ask questions and interrupt them.  It throws them off track and they are no longer able to follow the script and disconnect the call.

These clowns don't have anything to occupy their time but Harrassing illegal scam texts.
