I just got a call from (866) 217-2815 today.

The number is connected to Amazons Alexa application if you have an Amazon echo device this will call you in case you ask where your phone is at . Of course if you have no sucj app then they called the wrong number

Been getting calls lately in what I think is Chinese

Yup, I had lost my phone and used the Amazon Alexa app to call twice - the phone was in the car, so I couldn't hear the ringing. But now I am going to add to my contacts as Amazon's Phone Finder... for the next time I loose my phone.

It’s the Alexa app calling when you lose your phone and ask it to find it

Typically all I do is ask Alexa "where is my phone" she say's "calling We***" I then locate it and ask her to hang up. Simple. Quick. Easy. Today I ask "Where's my phone" she say's "I'm going to call you now, if you don't hear it ring it could be because your battery is dead or I am off line. " I'm going to ring now so be listening" THIS IS WAY TOO CHATTY! Then the phone rings, I ask Alexa to hang up, she says "there's no active call". I look down and it's this number calling me 1866 217 2815. I answer it and some guy (recording) says "Oh I see you've found your phone! That's great! How do you like this app!? If you are enjoying this app call this number and give us a thumbs up" OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING!? I have had this device for nearly a year and use it to find my phone at least 5 times a day! I have never had this happen until today! Feeling slightly more than spooked right now!

So, just to be clear.  You did not know where your phone was?  But when it rang all you needed to do was to "look down".  Hmm, I'm thinking that you need some sort of help.  Perhaps glasses?  Perhaps you should get a neurological exam?  Perhaps some sort of mental health evaluation?  Especially if you are losing your phone 5 times a day.  That definitely sounds like some sort of mental problem be it physical or otherwise.

Have you considered keeping your phone in your pocket so you don't lose it "at least 5 times a day"?
