Called my cell three times in quick succession. I didn't answer. They left no message.

I searched online and found they are scammers who put up a fake website and who will tell you your anti-virus company is merging with AVG and they need access to your computer to upgrade the software and there is a fee of $200-$400. Without paying for it you'll have no protection

That definitely sounds like a scam in my book.

I found this number when I searched for McAfee on google. They scammed me for $300 and I paid them through check. They say they are McAfee and they ask payment  to their distributor named Knitric Infotech LLC

Kept getting popups from McAffee that my subscription was going to expire but knew it was too soon. Found number on Google for McAffee Customer Service. Talked to operator who said that my computer had many errors on it and that's why I was getting messages. Wanted to diagnose and said repairs would cost $241.38. When I protested that it was too high he said he would give me 3 yrs of McAffee Total Protection free. I agreed. Sent me to technician who did download software. By his mistake tech left diagnostic tool on my computer. I opened it up and found no work had been done. Received billing email from Globobuy but I was billed $241 for software only. No repairs showed up. Billing company turned out to be a company that sell computer parts and antivirus software in Athens Ga and not associated with McAffee. Turned this matter over to NM Office of Attorney General who upon reading my complaint told me to file with FBI. Lucky for me so far I had not sent my check in.

I was scammed as well but lucky for me I hadn't sent my check in. Turned matter over to my state Office of Attorney General who recommended that I send complaint to FBI. Hope these guys get shut down and prosecuted. I may still end up having to pay for the software but not the so call repair work done.

You won't have to pay for the software because there is no software.

Posed as Bitdefender, installed a screen sharing tool to "verify" my subscription, then forwarded me on to a support number. I uninstalled the app, but still searching for the damage.

McAfee security has been scammed-hardly a good recommendation. Asked to write a check to an Intell company in Ga. for $239.99.  WHEN I TRIED TO REACH MCaFEE INTERNET--IT IS BLCOKED ON THE iNTERNET!!HARDLY A RECOMMENDATION FOR ANYONE.
