    Scam.  I am surprised that you haven't heard of the Microsoft computer tech support scam, on that has been highly publicized in every type of media possible over the years and years they have been running it.  Being equal opportunity scammers, they also pretend to be Apple, even going so far as spoofing the phone number of a real Apple store to fool people.
