They called me today and left a voicemail, asking me to call back and verify my address and place of employment.  Just more thuggery in the name of debt collection which I refuse to answer.

These people are just thugs who have purchased uncollectable debts from say, a second-chance credit card that was activated and then no payments were ever made.  After receiving calls from both Mr. Delia and John Fisher, who incidentaly sound exactly alike, I contacted a local attorney who gave me some very good advice.  These people cannot sue us across state lines, if it was legitimate we would be contacted by a law firm in our own state. Also I recieved the exact same message as the post above 4 times saying this was my only and final warning.  Then I got a message from the same guy saying that he had come by my house and no one was home and he was at a grocery store down the street and would come back between the hours of 5 and 8.  The thing is I was at work in the morning and he had previously said he had my work address, why not just come to my work if you were really in town, and of course, I was home between the hours of 5 and 8 and no one came by.  My attorney also said that we have the right to demand a full accounting of all charges and a legitimate firm will have no problem providing that.  These people will not give you an address to send the request in writing, just tell you to call the original client, who has no idea what they are even talking about.

I got a call from this number from a MR Stein saying that i would get served legal papers unless I called in to resolve a legal issue against me. I ignored all the calls and sure enough two weeks later i got served with papers and now have to take a day off of work to go to small claims court. I wish i had just paid off the debt to begin with. All the harassing calls they hit me with are not worth what i owe.

I received a call and I did call back. It was a loan I had taken out and never repaid. So I paid it.

    Hi Peter
I had the same problem so I paid the loan. I cannot afford to take a day off to go to court, besides it would have cost more money (fees etc). I also received a "Paid in Full" letter so now I can show proof in case this comes up again years later.

I got a call from a GB Norris who was supposedly a headhunter or recruiter.  After confirming my name and phone number I started getting calls from both David Snow and Richard Steele, who both had the same New York City accent as GB Norris.  "Nicole" also called me once.  When I wouldn't take the call at work, they called back and told the receptionist I was going to be served papers if I didn't call them back within 72 hours. This phone number goes to "the office of Richard Steele" on Saturdays, and gives a different company name than Statewide.  It says "Breslin Associates" or "Trustline Associates" or some un-understandable company name.  They called me twice at work after I instructed them not to.

I have received several intimidating/threatening calls at my place of employment inspite of informing them I am NOT allowed personal calls of any sort!  Then after I caved in I requested written documentation verifying what we had agreed to and they never did!  Also, everytime I had any telephone conversation(s) with them it appears like the receptionist, case manager whatever other titled employee they had was the same person and or phoney.  Very unprofessional! Would not accept what I was able to pay, they wanted to dictate the amount!

If someone from Statewide ADR calls you telling you they have charges against you. Right there you know it's a SCAM!!! I paid these ppl 2 payments and then realized what was going on an contacted the company they were calling in reference too, and the company said this was not the collection agency they work with. So I had to cancel my account that they were taking $ from and file a dispute with my card company to get my $ back. PlEASE do research before u decide to pay these people!!!!!
