Caller did not indentify herself.  very rude and refused to speak to me or give me a supervisor.  Did not say why she was calling for. But I found out here that she was calling for collections for one of my friends. And I am that person and these rude people keep calling me. Thats ridiculous.

Beware of anyone calling from this number. It is a locator service who matches numbers and names from internet sites and then calls to determine if you are the person they are looking for. When I advised J. Mosley not to call me back, he called me 15 times in one day and said that certain parts of my body are stinky. I think you get the picture- these are disgusting individuals that you should not answer any questions for!!! - Hang up on these scumbags and report them to the Banking and Insurance Commission Dept of Collectors Service if they call you back after you have told them not to. It is against the law for a collection agency to call you if you mail them a certified letter telling them not to call back.

Someone out there who has time to help stop these peoples call J. Mosley at 866-677-2629 x373 and harrass him all day. It might be your mother or sister he calls next and threatens so give him a call and harrass him like he harrasses innocent people trying to profit.
did you see the piece on 20/20 about collectors being trained to threaten, curse, scream at people. Anything to get money out of you so that they make a commission. It does not matter if you owe it or not, if they dont collect then they dont make anything so they do anything. I received calls from this number and the thing I think is funniest is that they leave me a message that says they have a decision to make on my behalf and I only have untill 2:oo to call them. When I dont respond they call again leaving a new line : You must call us by 9 pm tonight . Then  a week later : You must call us tomorrow by 10 am .
And this went on for 4 to 5 months and guess what, the same idiot calls leaving the same line. What ignorance is that ??? Not bright enough to remember they used that line like 20 times.
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that if they could have taken legal action against you they would do it and not talk about it so ignore these calls!!!! THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE CALLING. THEY PURCHASE LISTS OF NAMES AND NUMBERS AND THEN CALL YOU AND TALK LIKE MR BAD TRYING TO GET INFO FROM YOU. I WOULD NEVER TALK WITH THESE SCUMBAGS TO KNOW WHY THEY ARE CALLING AND YOU SHOULD NOT EITHER. HANG UP AND DO NOT RESPOND NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY CALL- JUST REPORT THEM IF YOU REALLY GET BOTHERED BY IT. This company is a "scavenger collection agency".
That means they buy old collection accounts that are long expired (over 7 years) and refile them with the credit bureau to try to make them look new again so they can collect.
Set up your phone recorder and document the filthy language and illegal threats these scumbags make and you can sue this company--just search the web and see how many companies just like this one are facing huge fines--
Let's report these scumbags to the FCRA or the Insurance and Banking Commission Dept of Collectors Service and force these crack smokers to find a reputable job!
There are reputable collection services out there but this is not one of them - these are filthy con-artists.

Northstar Capital Acquisitions has been SUCCESSFULLY sued in court for barraging a couple with hostile phone calls in order to collect on a non-existent debt. The details regarding this case are from BuddHibbs.com:

    LOS ANGELES (CN) – A federal judge refused to dismiss a couple’s claim that N Star Acquisitions barraged them with hostile phone calls to collect a nonexistent debt. Paul and Suzette Oei say North Star representatives called their house incessantly, trying to collect a debt the Oeis allegedly owed on an Aspire credit card account, though the Oeis said they never owned an Aspire card. Suzette claimed one worker called her at work, accused her of being a liar, and when Suzette asked him to stop calling, called another 23 times. When North Star’s attorney, Paul Carruthers, sued them, they fired back with their own lawsuit, which North Star moved to dismiss for a slew of reasons. It claimed North Star was not an actual debt collector and couldn’t be held responsible for the actions of its attorney, whom it labeled an “independent contractor.” Judge Margaret Morrow rejected these arguments, as well as the Oeis’ assertion that their emotional distress claim was “akin” to a malicious prosecution claim.

Caller identified himself as Patrick Henry said he needed a call from me, left and ID # and ext. to call his secretary immediately, have no clue why he is call me, if he is a bill collector I do not owe any bills, do not feel like wasting my time to even call and say please do not call, why do they call and harass people without correct information, think it is time they get a new career.

I am dealing with these jerks NOW on a debt that is not mine and I do not owe. They call my house on weekends as early as 8 am, call my cell sometimes 8+ times in one day. For anyone dealing with these jerks, you have the right to legally get them off your back. Even if you do owe this money to someone, you have the right to NOT deal with a collection agency, and deal with the main company directly.

There is a LOT of FREE advice on here, and a Cease Contact form letter you can copy and paste & edit to your own situation that you can send certified mail to these jerks, and BY LAW, they have to STOP contacting you. Period. If they don't, you can report them to the FTC and sue them (which they DO NOT want).
I also found a lot of helpful tips about old debt which has already been charged off and has fallen off your credit report. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you pay even one dime to these jerks for an OLD DEBT. By law, there is a statute of limitations whereby you do not have to pay old debts after a certain number of years. In CA it is 4 years after your very last recorded payment (though it will stay on your credit report for 7 years). The # of years vary by state.
If you do pay even ONE DOLLAR, the 7 years on your credit reports starts ALL OVER AGAIN... Jerks like Northstar use tactics to scare you into making payments which BY LAW you do not owe most of the time. They pray on people with no information.
They are in the business of buying old debt for cents on the $ in hopes of collecting $ from unsuspecting folks.
Don't let them scare you! Do your research and make them abide by the law.

This company has been calling a place a business leaving harassing messages for a personal matter.  We received a phone a call from a very rude man who did not identify himself and then started yelling because the individual was not in.  I called his office back to complain about his conduct and within 1 min he called back and said " Honey, I will call everyday, how dare you call my office".  Being the persistant one I called the company again and then  asked to speak to a supervisor.  Well, that got us no where. He informed me that this was a personal matter. As such I told him he could no longer call this place of business.  He responded that we should have an attorney contact him because this personal matter was going to effect our business.  When I informed the man that this was a corporation and he was not welcome to call here again, he also said that they could call here.  I then asked him for the state in which his company was based (so that I could file a formal complaint) he said " I am now terminating this call, and you really should not try get personal information about something that is not your business".  While this whole conversation was going on the first person was chimming in in the background..I can see this such a professional company...They cannot even represent themselves is a serious light....I feel my attempt to resolve this issue fell on deaf ears.  I am keeping a log of our conversations for future use.

Talk about scum...This is a great site...I hope all use it and maybe we can end this preditors career.

866 224 9825 phoned my house for my ex husband.  He has never lived at this address!  Would not tell me why they were calling but that I needed to get a message to him.  Give me a break.  I called them back to tell them not to call this number again and the woman Miss Hargrove hung up on me.  I will pursue additional action if I receive another call from this number.

I successfully got these jerks off my back by sending a certified cease contact letter w/ return receipt. For less than $5 at the post office, you too can be set free!!!

I found that the parent company to Northstar collectors is Zenith Acquisitions. There telephone number is 716-799-0525. Go down and buy yourself a calling card or block your number and give these folks a call every time you are called by one of the scums at Northstar. I bet that would set northstar back a step. Help bombard Zenith with calls and maybe they will re-think allowing the procedures at Northstar!!!!!!

I recieved 3 phone calls in a 5 min period from a Mr. Reed, he left two voicemails that were exactly the same.  I jsut ignored them and contacted my financial representative.

My husband got a call from these idiots. His debt is over 8 yrs old and they are just a junk debt buyer, their statue of limitations is out. I am sending them a letter like the others and dare them to call us again.
