I get this call everyday at 8:15am, 7 days a week.  "This call is for Paul .. since your still listening, I'm assuming you are Paul..." and goes on to say its a debt collector.  They tell me to call this number to Phillips and Cohen but no one ever answers it just goes to a voice mail.  I leave messages but no one returns my call.  Can I report them to someone?

I am getting the same calls and msgs. Did you ever find out what you could do to stop the calls?

We have been getting the same calls for more than 3 weeks now. We have returned the call several times as well. We are now getting the calls several times a day and hang up calls as well from the automated calling system. I called the Better Business Bureau since we do not have any outstanding debts that anyone should be collecting on. The BBB was not able to get any information on the company and advised me to call the Federal Trade Commission because they are the ones who govern collections calls. I did that and I filed a complaint against the company as of today. Anyone else who is receiving these calls should call them and file a complaint as well because if they have enough complaints they will file a class action suit against them for harrassment and stop the calls.

If anyone else has this problem again I just got some other information for this company. The company is Phillips and Cohen and Associates LTD. Their phone number (a human actually answers) is 866-719-3522. I just called and told the lady we filed bankruptcy a few years ago and she took us off the call list. It was an invalid debt anyway.

Call comes in as Out of Area 714. Repeatedly advised this caller that they have a wrong number.  Asked them to remove my number from their call list.  They refused.  Asked to talk to manager they disconnected me.  Repeat calls from this company continued.  After I received some calls and told them they had a wrong number and disconnected they would call back and hangup.  Today they left a call back number on my voice mail.  I did a search and found the company.  Called them and requested a manager he states they will remove my number.  I have also filed a report with the FTC.

Have been numerous calls from this number. Never leaves a messages and has been calling as early as 8:00 in the morning. Don't understand if this is an important call why not leave a message on the machine??

I still get this number calling me literally 3 times a day or more. I've been getting it for about 2 months now. Sometimes I will get phone calls for this person who clearly had my phone number before hand, upwards of 15 times a day.

Sometimes it comes through as 555-555-5555.

I just got a new phone number a few weeks ago and started getting these calls at appox 8:30am the next day and every morning after that. But no one leaves a message. I also am getting some from 555-555-5555. I guess they are trying to get in touch with the last person who had my current number.

I want to tell you thank you for calling so much and for the wrong person and cant take no for an answer, but the more you call my land line business phone the strong the charges are being put against you.  Unless you have my permission in written to call me and you don't :) it is against the law to keep  calling me and not taking my word on what I say.( I love being a lawyer) In the state of texas you are getting fined everytime you dial my number :):):)

If you can block you phone number from being sent out, please do call 866-226-0074. After they answer, put your hone on MUTE and don't say anything until either they hangup (frustrated) or you hangup after 45 seconds (longer is a waste, just call again).

I did this for 30 consecutive calls and it bothers the hell out of them. Being its toll free, every time I call them it's charged to them.

Revenge is definitely sweet. If everyone does this, I think they'll be out of business.

This call is for a relative or someone by his same name....THis is OUR phone...And I consider this harrassment... Please stop this call.

DON"T ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER ON CALLER ID. [1st, get caller ID]. DON'T RETURN ANY DEBT COLLECTOR CALLS. DON'T TRY TO "talk" TO THEM. THEIR ONLY INTEREST IS TO BADGER YOU INTO MAKING PAYMENTS YOU CAN'T AFFORD. DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE AND EVENTUALLY THEY will GIVE UP BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME WITH NO RESULTS/MONEY. Don't answer the phone or talk with them!!!!!!

I received a call from this company.  The person on the phone told me she was calling about a debt I owed... $5000.00.  I told her she had the wrong person so she asked to verify my social.  That is crazy to do when a stranger calls.  I refused, explained my reason, she gave me a call back number and hung up on me.  

I called 866-719-3522.and spoke to a person, explained why I was calling and asked to speak to a supervisor.  He said he would remove my number after giving me the last four digits of social of the person they were looking for and told him it wasn't mine. I thanked him and told him my next call was going to be to the Federal Trade Commission.  He repeated that my number had been removed.

This collection company has been calling my number incorrectly - asking for someone else.  I have called and requested several times that they remove my number from their system as they have the wrong number for the person they are looking for and they have repeatedly said they would be still have not.  They call non-stop at all hours of the day and night.  I am not sure what I can do at this point.

Out going caller ID is NOT blocked when calling an 800 number

I'd be interested in the spacifics of that Texas Law as I'm being hammered by these folk and others.  I've asked for confermation and information on the debt but get nothing.

Had a detailed message left for someone who doesn't live here to call this number back.  I called and got details of company: Phillips & Cohen Associates, 1002 Justison St, Wilmington, DE 19801.  Demanded to be removed from their call list, and she claimed I would be within 24 hours.  We'll see.
