Robo-caller called and left a message about "you will be charged $299 for subscription renewal unless you call 866-226-0626."  A scam!

I received exactly the same message as another person on this thread. Subscription renewal for $299. However, when I called the number for curiosity, I got first a female and then a male who said it was for Geeks Square - whatever that is.

called me with the same message. When I called back for curiosity, they said it was from Geek Square - whoever that is!

How could this be profitable? Are there really such stupid people out there?

Repetitive call woman’s voice saying auto renewal of subscription my account would be charged $299. Call to cancel and receive refund.
