CALLED ON MY CALLER ID AT 12:06 PM

I got a call from them so I called back. An "English Challenged" individual answered as some law firm. He said they were attempting to collect on a debt to Capitol One. Funny thing is I don't own a credit card, much less owe them any money. He hadn't even asked my name, nor had I given it to him and he was already asking for my social security number. I told him that I didn't owe any money and that I was gonna call the local sheriff's office and Better Business Bureau and report the number since I thought it was a scam. He got mighty quiet, either he figured he had been caught or I was talking quicker then he could thumb through his translation guide. lol

Looks like a pretty crafty scam. The Indian man claimed he had an 'authorization number' for my friend, and the matter was 'personal,' so I called back the number and got a phony lawyer's office/collection claims office. All he really wanted was my friend's personal information...hum. Kind of makes you wonder, huh? I'd say this guy's stealing personal info.

I repeatedly get unwanted calls from this number.

I get a call on my cell at least 5 days a week and sometimes more then once a day. It needs to stop.

I got the same phone call today asking me for my social security #, I didn't give it to him.

This is some phony law office number. Its a scam. Like MK law offices or Michell Payne or something -- I cant even make out what they were saying .

This is NCO Portfolio Management, Inc. a collection agency.  They must use call centers in India that are instructed to speak heavily accented when pressed for details like the company's name which would expose thier lies since they claim to be calling from an Attorney's office which is a total lie.

Get calls from this number frequently.  I would assume if it was a pressing matter, they would leave a message, which they never do.

Receive a call from this number about once a week.  I have never answered it and they never leave a message.  Pretty persistent!

Today I decided to answer the call and a man with a heavy accent asked for my husband.  I replied that he was unavailable, but I was happy to take a message, and he began by saying "my number is 866..." then the call was cut off.  Hmmm seems to me if it was a pressing matter, he would have given me the number at least...He wouldn't identify himself.

My sister received a call from a man at this number (866-226-3382) who claimed she owed money on a credit card.  He offered to assist her with paying off the debt.  My sister does not have a credit card.  I wonder how many elderly people fall for this trick and make payment for a nonexistent debt or provide personal info that can be used against them.  The government should find these people and prosecute them. Or maybe we should find them and handle it ourselves.

Yes, this is a collection agency, possibly a scam, fronting as a law office. Don't give any info.

This person has called twice in 1 blessed week! I don't pick up my phone...and thankfully, this person doesn't leave a message.  Annoying!!!

This number keep calling me i dont answer the phone they call two many times a day i wish that they stop calling

just activated a new home home and this # started calling within the hour of setting up the line. I never answer it and it goes to vm but no message is ever left... they call several times a day.. luckly for me my provider allowed me to block this #. Hopefully the end to story.
