Called and left message requesting call back with no other details

I wanna know whoever or whichever company owns this number because I want proof of a stupid tax they tried to pull up on me

Called and left voice mail. Katie Cardinas was her name. Asked about someone related to me. Didn’t call back.

Family member received a message from this number for me.

Called with message to have my son call back.  He doesn’t live here and no reason to call me and didn’t say who she is other than Kathy someone.  Sounds fishy and phone number called from is 8667497279 GC services.  Info shows this is post probably a scam posing as internal revenue services in Illinois or Utah.

The Internal Revenue Service is a Federal Agency and not a state one.  Each State or Commonwealth has their own revenue agency.  GC Services is apparently collecting taxes for several states.  I couldn't find a list but they are listed as collecting taxes for Michigan. https://www.michigan.gov/taxes/0,4676,7-238-75545_43808-367254--,00.html

Taxes are not consumer debt so in most cases they don't have to follow the FDCPA unless it was part of their contract.

Called looking for someone without giving information.

Actually GC services does call you after your Utah state taxes owed go delinquent. I haven't lived there for almost 7 years ago, and I was contacted first time in 2019 about my 2014 tax return. It sucks because it is only 288.00 with penalties, but I am still trying to get a straight answer for what reason, and I got a small state return. Call the Utah Tax board. You probably owe state taxes. Or which ever state you live.

I don't know who this number belongs to and no message was left. I was at work anyways when the call came in. I don't pick up my phone unless I know who is calling. They have the ability to leave a message.

Some lady named Kathy (couldn't understand what her last name was) left a message asking to speak with me. What was funny is that she first said "This email is for... I mean, *stutter*, this message is for...".  Suspicious! Caller ID just shows the # as "Unknown", and Kathy didn't leave the company she was calling from.

Called me again. This time they left a message with no details except a name...no company name, no reason for the call, no hours to call back to contact them, nothing!

Calls everyday and leaves no message or reason for call.  This has got to be a scammer or very stupid company.

They called and said they needed my new address and that I own the tax and state department

Some lady left me a voicemail saying the message was on behalf of Douglas McGuinness and to call back. No other info. I called the number and a lady answered needing my name and I asked what they do. She said financial services so I hung up. If I owe state taxes or something (highly unlikely) they would contact me via mail or at least address me by name.

Number has called me 10 times in the last 3 months, 5 times in March alone.  I have them blocked so I only ever notice they attempted when I happen upon my call logs.  Never answered, no voicemail has ever been left.  I always get fed/state tax refunds every year, my credit cards are paid in full every month, an 820+ credit score and I always have my SSN frozen, so it's laughable if they think I personally have any debt to collect on.  If there is a legitimate debt tied to a relative/family member then apparently it's not that important as I've never been served, garnished or received any kind of official statement in the mail.
