This number is for a company who promotes other businesses.  In my case, it was free airline tickets if I visit a local travel agency.  Don't know if they're legitimate but I didn't like getting a letterhead saying "US Airlines" as if it were from US AIR.

Most of these are bait-n-switch types of offers, they say it's "free" but you have to pay fees, sit through high pressure sales for travel/time shares/club memberships, or enroll in some sorta monthly fee service(s).
Mostly, the "prize" isn't worth the trouble.

Also you can notify the "letter head" company to let them know some third party is using their logo/name for a possible scam.

We just got the same letter. Thanks for your input. I will not contact these people, due to the fact that their letterhead is purposely deceitful.

Just received the same bogus letter, claiming they had attempted to contact me several times prior. Complete fabrication.
