This number is used by Fundraising Direct. We currently present this telephone number when making survey, administrative and fundraising calls on behalf of a number of charitable organizations, political parties, and non-government organizations.

If you have received a call from us that was either unwanted, or more importantly not to the level of professionalism and courtesy that we expect from all of our staff, please let us know.

We have an e-mail address for any and all feedback in regards to either being removed from our calling lists, or lodging a complaint about a call you have received. That address is feedback@fundraisingdirect.ca.

Please be assured we take all complaints very seriously, and fully investigate each one that we receive.

In order to swiftly locate your details in our system all we need is your telephone number and your name, and we will then be able to remove the record from all future calling. It is absolutely not our intention to call anyone who does not wish to be contacted, and so you will be removed from all future calling that we conduct.

These calls are a violation of the privacy act.

No one here is calling you.   Invest in a call blocker and do not answer calls you do not recognize.

These calls border on harrassement. I got a call on October 3rd, than on the 8th and than on the 14th, 15th and 16th. I never answer but they keep calling. When do they give up?

These people are relentless I get calls three times a day usually around 12 then 4 then 6 it's gets extremely annoying especially because you're calling me asking for someone who doesn't even live here I swear to god if it doesn't stop I'm kin to take these pricks to court for harassment

Thank you for posting that message.  This is a great example for other companies to follow.  By posting a message explaining to people who you are, why you are calling, and providing a method of preventing further calls, you are showing respect for the people you are calling.  Most organizations wouldn't bother doing this, and therefore this places you above the rest, in my books.  As for all the posters who are whining and complaining about these repeated phone calls, why don't you just send them a quick email, as they have explained.  It would take the same amount of time as posting in this forum.  As for the ones who posted in this forum, to be removed from their list, re-read their instructions.  Finally, for the first poster, telemarketing calls are not an invasion of the privacy act... Such activities have absolutely nothing to do with the privacy act whatsoever.  Have you actually read the act?  Perhaps you should read the act on e-laws or another online source.

Just answered a call from this number. I donate monthly to Doctors Without Borders and this was them calling to thank me and explain where my money is going. I also conveniently was able to increase my donation without having to go out of my way to contact them, so that was nice.
People should answer, it might be something important.

"I never answer but they keep calling."  DUH!! Answer your phone - tell them you don't want to be called (in a polite way would be a good approach) and then they will stop calling you! If you never answer - they don't know you want to be called... Man do I get sick of stupid people.

I was thinking that myself. They provided a confidential and courteous way to get them to stop and you post your number to a very public forum? Derp.
