SCAM.....CRA does not call anyone

I called back the number (1-866-0827 xt4197) and asked David Plante why the fax and call - he responded with a curse word (the F* one).  I told him I was calling the authorities and hung up on him.
It is a scam.  CRA will not call or fax you, nor will there be many typos on the fax letter.

Received a call from this number and thought it was a scam acting as Canadian Revenue agency . I ended up calling the number and phone number extension that was given by the representative during my first call. I asked him questions and continued with caution because I know many scammers are pretending to be the Canadian Revenue agency. This phone number actually was the Canadian Revenue Agency looking for a payment!! They also called using the number 18195345998 . Hope this helps.

Look like a scam ,  take care , don't give information

This is most definitely a scam. They called me and left a message stating that they need my husband to call them back by the end of July, that was the 1st thing that threw me off, along with the fact that it comes up as an unknown number.  So I contacted CRA directly and they told me they had no record of anyone contacting me and that this is a scam and to report It.
It is very possible that some the comments on here  to the opposite of this are from people working with the scammer's.

Or they have been scammed themselves. They may ask you for a payment.... do not give these people any money!
report this as fraud and block the number.

They called twice and left voicemails stating that they were trying to reach my partner and that it was important and urgent. Nothing else was added. I mean, my partner is not off the map, he has a phone number as well and if the CRA really wants to join him, I'm pretty sure they can do so without having to call me. Sounds like a scam and I won't be calling back.

Yup, it's a scam, What CRA starts talking Chinese
