It's Office Depot calling inactive customer accounts to "win back your business"  Give them a call and have your number removed from their directory.

Just got a call from this number on my Grand Central account. They didn't give a name when requested by the automated system and didn't leave a message when I sent them to voicemail.

Caller asked if they were reaching me (using my full name) then prattled about cold weather in PA, asked about MD's weather - where I live.

Said she was calling from Office Depot, yammered on that my "account" was inactive for some time and wanted to talk to me about saving money with some new sales pitches.

When I cut her off and told her I wasn't interested, she paused then quickly asked if the number she was calling was a cell or a home number. Like the sleepy, sick idiot I was at 9 AM, I said cell. She quickly said she had the wrong number and abruptly hung up.

I think this is a scam and fully expect my cell to be mass distributed to phoney (no pun intended) telemarketers.

This number has been calling for MANY weeks. I picked it up today out of exasperation (normally I do not pick-up unrecognized numbers). I regret it.

I have received 6 calls so far from this number. They sometimes call at 8 AM or as late as 9:30 PM. I have never answered the phone and will not do so. I advise all of you to do the same. Do Not Answer!

If they are using statements like "inactive account", then they are "phishing" for your account numbers, your personal information, such as birthdate info, address confirmation, bank info, and credit card info so they can go on a spending spree. I advise everyone to contact the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and your state's Attorney General's office and report these tactics from this number so they can start an investigation that will hopefully result in prosecution.

they tell me its from home depot and has a savings if i make  order at time of the  call, they said its for phone only and i wiil get a gift card for $ 75.00 dollars if the order its for $50.00 or more i think its fraud

I've seen this number show up at least 5 times in the last week.  I never answer, so I have no idea who it is.

These people call sometimes 2 or 3 times every day. It is driving me nuts and most of the time never say anything.

I just had a call from this number as well.  Very pushy guy named Brad Peterson wanting to re-activate my Office Depot account by placing an order with him.  He even had my correct customer account number with Office Depot.  I called Office Depot to tell them about this and after 14 minutes of holding they "hung up phone".  I called back and Office Depot said this was a valid solicitation.  It's typically the district managers calling accounts that have been inactive for a while.  Office Depot confirmed all the "deals" they were offering and said this is legit.  Still, it seems sketchy to me...
