- Anon| 1 reply[***] of some kind for debt collection. Left 2 very rude voicemails that were only 4 hours apart, both while I had my phone off during class. Didn't leave company name, assumed he had the right person, wanted to "deliver documents to my residence and work," as well as stating they "gave me an opportunity to respond," yet, these were the only two calls made. I will resolve debt, no questions asked, but not when you are a jerk to me right off the bat!

- Elspeth replies to AnonProcess servers do not call people and give them a heads up they'll be served - it's likely your caller is either an outright scammer or junk debt buyer who can't prove you owe money to them. Per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - a debt validation letter showing that you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to mail this DV letter within five days of their first call is a violation of federal law. More info here:

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.
