"Won" a free bottle of perfume, only $2.95 in shipping, off the Internet, on a survey attached to my bank's website.  Now have a $95.00+ charge on my checking account!  When I call this number, I'm told to please hold, then that I have called outside regular business hours!

Got exactly the same problem. Can U shed any light on this problem?

I've dealt with your company for many years and have never had this problem before.

I've told friends that it was safe to order product from you and safe to pay by credit card
because you were a reputable company.

However on my last order from you while on your site ordering product, I was asked
to participate in a survey and for doing so I would receive a free
bottle of perfume. I never gave my credit card info. and shipping address to anybody but you.

Somehow this perfume company "MDC* DOLCEFRAGRANCE 866-229-5378" got my
credit card info. and shipping address from your site and sent me a bottle of perfume
and processed a charge for $95 and $4.99 shipping charge to my credit card.

I don't believe your company knowingly gave these people my info. so I have to assume it was
trickery and deceit and I would call it ---"identity theft".

A copy of this email is going to Consumer Affairs.com (for posting online) .

THOSE FREE OFFERS ALWAYS COME WITH STRINGS ATTACHED - and you HAVE TO READ THE TERMS and CONDITIONS of the FREE offer - BEFORE YOU AGREE TO ANYTHING.   That includes those survey's!

I have seen similar offers for those worthless membership programs that NO ONE will willing sign up for so they hide behind special offers on other vendor websites.    It could BE a survey or a % off your current order - but once you start you give them permission to charge the same card you used to make your purchase.  

By law they are required to tell about fees etc in the terms and conditions - and they count on the CONSUMER NOT READING THEM.
