What did they say?

received a call from a blocked number.  The caller stated he was Brian Baldwin with the county's carrier service and I was being served court papers.  He told me to be at my house at a certain time and if I wasn't there then I would miss my court date and they would proceed without me.  He stated if I couldn't be there at that time to call 1-866-230-1267 and reschedule.   I called the number and they said "Angelo Stevens."  There was no agency name and no other information provided.

they call trying to scare you into calling. If someone is going to serve you papers they dont call to warn you! I hope people are not fooled by this and any threat that is not actually being done is against the law!

I received a call from an anonymous number, they left a voice mail claiming to be process servers on behalf of US Bank. They said to call back 8667273304. So I did and "Angelo Stevens" answers saying he's going to serve me legal documents. Then he said we can settle out of court, and avoid going to court to pay 800.00+. I almost did, but I didn't feel right about it. I called US Bank, they had no idea what I was talking about. I called the REAL ADR in Houston, TX. The lady there said it's a scam and to file an online report with the Houston Police Dept. I have to file one here in Phoenix as well. Just beware of the number.. Don't pay them!!!!
