- No More Calls, Please| 1 replyRepeated calls. No message. When I called them, they claim they are accounts receivable for Allied Electrical. I've never heard of that company.
- joyce replies to No More Calls, PleaseI just got two calls in a row from this number at the business where I work. When I answered all I heard was 'click'. These calls are so aggravating!! Caller ID just said 'unknown name' along with the number.
- Joyce| 3 repliesI just received another call from this company this morning with a hangup as soon as I answered. I called the number and received a message carousel. I waited on the line unit I got a real person. She said it was allied (something) accounts receivable for Idearc. I asked to have my name removed and was told they couldn't because I owe them money. I do not owe them money. Idearc is whom we pay our Verizon Yellow page advertising to. My account is current with them. We recently received information from Idearc saying they "filed petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U S Bankruptcy Code. We intend to use this legal process to implement a debt restructuring plan that will strengthen our financial condition...." I think our days of advertising in the Verizon yellow pages will come to an end when our contract is up.

- Jim replies to Joyce| 2 repliesIf Allied Interstate called you, you are NOT current with Idearc. Allied is a collection agency that only calls when you are more than 60 days past due. This is a legitimate business.
- BillAfter speaking with a customer service person I was informed that the reason I was getting this daily hang-up call was because their automated calling system calls 10 calls, and as soon as the first is answered, it drops the other 9, leaving you with a dial tone if you answer this call. Basically, it's rude disrespect by design.
I escallated the call and informed the manager that I was happy to receive a call from their company at any time, as long as it was a person and not a hang-up. The resolution was our account being placed on the manager's desk so she would call and not the automated system (the change took a day to come into effect).
The alternate resolution was being put on their Do Not Call list, which was offered by the customer service agent from the beginning. I chose not to take this offer simply due to the fact that I know my boss is going to ignore the debt unless a person talks to him about it, but for those of you who are more responsible, asking to be put on the Do Not Call list might solve the problem.- Call type: Debt collector
- concernedThe robo call came in and a person finally answered the ring on their end. She asked for accounts receivable. I asked what company and she said somethingn that was not understandable. I said, "That's unintelligeable." She said, "I'll call tomorrow."
We don't owe Idearc a thing except a monthly bill for Verizon advertizing. When they took the account over from Verizon, they claimed that my bill was four times the correct amount and that I was a restaurant in Pittsburgh. - idearc annoyanceNever leaves a voice mail and if answered often get some voice recording refering to a case #. Resolution is simple. Save number to cell phone as "do not answer".........Hit reject call every time it comes in.

- FritzyCalls come in at least six to ten times a week. Always hang up when we answer. Checked our Verizon / Idearc account and it is current. I called Verizion and told them I believe they are trying to get people annoyed so they will consider a different phone company. They said they would take care of it, we'll see.

- Debicompany, unfortunately, is ligit: Verizon yellow pages, aka idearcmedia, aka supermedia, aka who knows they change hands so much no one can keep up....the caller is to find out when you making a payment; will call 1/2 dozen times a day even though you may have talked to a representative. if a call from them comes in and i recognize the number i just dont answer...........

- ABAThree calls from this company; name of person who called as well as most information unintelligible. She always says something about "accounts payable" and a "media account", but if she would bother to listen to the out-going message on my voicemail, she would know she is calling a residence, NOT a business. I returned the called, but reached them "after hours'--4 pm is after hours? I guess I will have to call them until I get to a real person, the way others have done.
