- JenThis phone number belongs to Verizon pre-paid service. They are calling giving info. about the account, and making sure you do not want to make any changes. It is a free call, and does NOT use any of your airtime. It is a recording, so no one will tell you they love you.
- Caller: Verizon Wireless
- Call type: Unwanted
- VikkiI got a call from this number so far 3X! The caller stays on the phone long enough for the call to get sent to voicemail. I don't call back but I do check the vm to see if any message is left. No messages left! I do end up paying for the voicemail call because my phone is a new pre-paid phone that I bought for emergency use only! If this happens my minutes that I have paid for will be eaten up by this unwanted calling and possibly not be available when a true emergency arises! I would have had no need to use my phone at all today if it weren't for these three calls! I think this should be illegal!
- Caller: unknown

- PUNK Verizon replies to AnnabellDo not answer this number.
They want you to answer so they can use up your minutes requiring you to purchase more time.
Verizon should be taken to court. Class action lawsuit everyone! - gusReceived an automated call(on my t-mob phone) from a supposed " verizon pre-paid " wireless company telling me various fees for different calls and asked if I wanted to set-up my voicemail.
Called the real Verizon Wireless at 1.800.922.0204 to confirm that there

- Ex-Verizon Employee| 1 replyAfter reading the answers on here, I can't believe how most of you didn't read the other replies, and most likely more people won't read this and get the hint lol. I used to work for Verizon, so I have the answer you're looking for, even thought it was mentioned a few other times. If you got a new prepaid cell phone, you will get this number calling you from Verizon. It won't take away any of your air time. If you get musuic when you answer your voicemail, you are just placed on hold until a customer service rep answers. The call is about your new service, if you like it or want to make any changes, and they will ask you if you want to refill your minutes. It isn't any telemarketer, its Verizon. I don't know what to say to you if your not a Verizon customer. I used to work for Verizon, so I know its a normal procedure. Simply pick up the phone when it calls again. If you get music, wait until you get customer service. It won't take away your airtime.
- Caller: Verizon Wireless (INpulse Pay As You Go)
- Call type: Unwanted
- MattC replies to Ex-Verizon EmployeeThanks for the informative response, Ex-Verizon Employee.
I understand that the call is airtime free.
Still, I am (and I suspect many others on this forum are) afraid to answer the call because my Verizon InPulse Prepaid calling plan specifies that any day in which I make or receive a call (even a free call) triggers the $2.99 daily usage fee.
Is a call from 866-231-2331 airtime free AND free of this $2.99 daily usage fee? If so, can you point me to where I can find that in writing?
Thanks again.
