Someone called me from this number stating that they are taking me to court. Has anyone gotten this type of call?

I did got the call from this number. I did not pick it up as I know it was scam. And no voice message left either. There you go, nothing really important.

My family member contated me prior to the call to warn me of a scam that my family was reporting to local officials

The call I recieved was from a Mr. Wiley from locater services processing division looking for a family member wanting to "serve them papers".  The number showed up as UNKOWN on my cell phone he did leave a message.  Wanting my family member to contact the legal department of the plaintiffs office.  He had extension numbers and case numbers.  He ended the call with "you have officially been notifed".

There is nothing "official" about that type of notification other than it being an official SCAM. Ignore the call and don't answer future calls from that number. If repeated calling from the number gets to be annoying, consider a call blocker.
