- PaulioReceived this call and a woman asked for me by name. I told her no one by this name resides at the residence. When I called the number back there was no ring tone but just dead air.
- DaveSame as above, was asked for by name, unable to call the number back (phone didn't even ring when I tried)
- Brian Toronto866-231-6222 August 16, 2007. This is Bank of Montreal Mosaic Mastercard, wanting to sign you up for balance insurance. I asked them to remove me off their calling list. They've called several times over the years.
- Caller: Bank of Montreal Mosaic Mastercard

- AngryBMO Mosaic Mastercard are really bad about telemarketing. I work nights; their auto-dialer doesn't leave messages and calls repeatedly all day.
They ignore Do Not Call requests, disguise their Caller ID, and one can't call the CID# back. Reps refuse to acknowledge it's a sales call.
I just sat on the phone for a half hour trying to get added to the DNC, only to have the request very rudely denied because it's my wife's card and she's not here. How angry am I now?
Guess it's time to transfer the balance away from BMO!- Caller: Bank of Montreal

- jjbI received a call on my cell.. the womon said she was calling on behalf of the Band of Montreal and the jist of the call was to sell me accident and loss of income insurance. She asked my age and if I lived out of the country more than six months of the year.. She asked if i smoked and then said the premium would be $16.95 a month. She had my name and cell phone number so I assumed it was legit.. However I would not give out any bank account numbers etc as they should know it if they are with the Bank. I then lost the signal on my phone and she did not call back.

- AngryI am not sure why these people keep, and keep , and keep calling us. Is any legal way to stop this abuse?
- LazyKittyI received a call on my home phone at 4:15P EST Oct 12, 2007, but there was no message on my answering machine. I tried calling back the number on my caller display but all I heard was a message that "the call could not be completed as dialed and to dial the toll free number previously provided and an associate will be most happy to assist me." Another similar phone number I found on my caller display was 1-866-231-6222 4:14P EST Oct 12 2007. Most likely from the same caller. I get these calls all the time but I never answer them because I know they are telemarketers. If the call was really important, they should have left legit messages on my answering machine. The callers also call really early in the mornings on the weekends when I like to sleep in. I would drag myself out of bed because I thought it may be an emergency but it's just telemarketing calls. Very annoying.

- NesteaI'm getting this call at anytime of the day, up to 2 times a day. Never at night, and ALWAYS when I'm sleeping or at work. I recently decided to call the number back, and it told me to call the toll free. I'm thinking, "Ok, I don't know who's calling...so WHAT toll free? LOL, I love credit cards, NOT.
Glad I looked it up today because now I'm sure its BMO, because it makes total sense.- Caller: 1-866-231-6222

- ErinI was called today (November 21) by the same number. 1-866-231-6222. I have had the same luck as everyone else in getting in touch with the appropriate people. I just now ignore it. I've had the number call before, usually with months between calls. If anyone finds a way to legally deal with them, I'd be happy to know!!

Good luck in trying to reach someone there, they are huge with god knows how many offices. - BC, CanadaThis number has been calling my cell phone for several days now. It disconnects as soon as I answer. I got fed up so I called them back from my landline. It jumped to elevator music after the first ring. I've been listening to it on speaker phone for over 2 hours now. My baby girl likes the music and is sleeping peacefully. I think I'll call them back at bedtime tonight and leave the phone on speaker so my girl can listen to it all night long. It's also a great way to avoid phone calls at night... I wonder what their phone bills are like????

- BCIf you were frustrated enough to come to this site then take a moment and report this number to the crtc. The CRTC tracks complaints and uses them in it's future rulings. My complaint included the fact that I am charged airtime on my cell phone when they call.
This site http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/info_sht/t22.htm provides some informative info on these calls and ways to pursue this problem:
"If you aren’t able to reach the telemarketer or have yourself removed from a fax/calling list and if the telephone company has been unable to assist you, contact the CRTC and we will pursue the matter on your behalf."
"Callers using predictive dialing devices (aka: automated dialing) shall ensure that they do not abandon more than 5% of calls, measured per calendar month, and shall maintain records to show the abandonment rate."
Just reading all the posts I can't imagine they are abandoning less than 5% of calls.
File complaints here: http://www.crtc.gc.ca/RapidsCCM/Register.asp?lang=E - Barney RubbleMy note to the CRTC: I am more and more frequently becoming a victim of predictive dialing. I am CONSTANTLY getting dead air several times per day from several different callers. I have attempted to call back the numbers displayed on my call display and get nothing but elevator music or an automated message. Most recently I have started to receive these calls on my cell phone from (866) 231-6222. I am charged airtime everytime I receive one of these calls. My phone company tell me they will charge me for "call blocking" and they do not guarantee it will work. I should not have to PAY to be harrassed like this, nor should I have to PAY to protect myself from this form of harrassment. I have researched the calling numbers online and am utterly overwhelmed at the scope and frustrations of online complaints. Please assure me that the CRTC monitors and recognizes some of these websites as records of complaints against these companies. It is unimaginable that these companies that are calling with "dead air" 5 and 6 times a day are keeping their "quotas" of dead air to under 5%. It is unspeakable that these companies are permitted to so vagrantly and blatantly abuse the rules set by the CRTC. These companies should NOT be allowed to call cellular phones (never mind landlines) without explicit consent of the phone owner. Further, the phone companies should be required to provide blocking services as part of the basic plan.
Please pursue this issue on my behalf to ensure my phone numbers (250) XXX-XXXX and (250) xxx-xxxx are on the DO NOT CALL lists for every one of these telemarketing companies.- Caller: 866-231-6222
