    Says it was from the Social Security office...  Something about a federal crime...  Seems fake to me...  Never got a letter in the mail!!!  Key indicator...

    This is a social security scam attempt.  Recording implies a federal crime investigation is concerned & Soc Sec Admin is calling you  Neither Soc Sec nor law enforcement will EVER leave a message like that.  That is B.S.  Bet you the intent is to obtain your SSN so they can commit fraud with it. Go to ssa.gov for true help.

    Called back and the guy who answered stated he wanted to know who I was speaking with and a reference number which was left in Voice Mail...  there was not one.  he then put me on hold and answered back stating this was a scam call. didn't even try fishing information other then name.   As if he got caught ... he answered back whispering saying it was a scam call and apologized for trying to scam me... WTF?

    Scary since I am in the process of dealing with SSA so I wasn't sure if this was valid or not. So glad I checked. It seemed odd so I didn't call back. Definitely a scam.
