I finally hung on long enough for them to talk to me. I told them no I was no interested in their credit card upgrade for balance protection...and to quit calling me. I told them it was harrassment. so they asked if I want to on their no-call list. I said yes.

It is CUETS.

When they call answer and say nothing...eventually someone will talk to you. Tell them to put your number on the DO NOT CALL list.

Do not call them...it is a long distance call.

if you recieve calls from this number on a regular basis report it to the police as harassment dont bother dealing with the company they will just lie to you anyways

I just got call from that number,after a long speech about Master Card protection, they were trying to get my birth of year , i refused , he continued to convince me to give him a data, after several refuses, he gave up, hope they'll never call me again

this is not CUETs, they say they are, but if you ask them for confirmation info that you can use to back up that claim, they come up short. Not a CUETs registered number either.

been calling everyday for over a month..just don't answer..

These idiots call me almost everyday. The one time I answered the phone, there was silence and then they hung up on me.

The number started calling me last fall/winter. I answered once and told them I did not want their c/c insurance and the calls stopped until this month (May). Two weeks ago they started calling again. I've tried answering once or twice to tell them to stop calling, but I run out of patience when there's no response on the other end. the calls are increasing in number as well. Today, for example, they've called me three times and it's barely 1pm.

I'm located in Vancouver.

I wonder if someone setup a comp with a bunch of old modems and spammed this number if they would stop

While CUETS Financial (aka Cumis) is a reputable firm, their Credit Card service got taken over by TD Financial last year (they're the outfit that took over MBNA as well). On the application for either a CUETS or MBNA card (TD is using these names), it states 'you agree to be called by telemarketers, robo-calls, auto-dialer calls, by them or any 3rd party they peddle your name & number to'

I got a text from a different number saying I didn't have theft protection on my recent product purchase and it told me to call this number if I though the information could be wrong. Thought I'd look up the number first because I go through best buy for all my electronics and they would have messages me so I'm glad I checked first.
