Musket Strategies, Ltd. was charged on my credit card out of the blue.  The telephone number associated in the notes was 866-250-7974.  The telephone number is for a legit business called Today's Options, it is the enrollment department.  No affiliation with Musket Strategies.

It appears as if many people are getting these unwarranted charges from affiliates of large online pharmicies.  The following "sham"/scam affiliates have been linked to legitimate affiliates such as Netrxcc.com and ERXBILL.com:

    Musket Strategies Ltd.
    All American Ltd.
    Superior
    BEST QUALITY

My best guess is that these sham companies/affiliates are using "stealware" to hijack the legitimate affiliates commission. What is happening here is these are all affiliates of a PARENT company that is in the business of pushing internet ordered prescriptions through the mail. (they are essentially just a coordinator.  they contact a doctor to write the Rx, facilitate with a pharmacy to fill the prescription and send to the customer)  The affiliates do all the marketing and reach out to bring in the orders.  These affiliates get commission, thus get paid from the PARENT.

Some of the affiliates are using dirty scamming techniques to take the commission away for their sister affiliates customer orders.  What a lot of these affiliates do is send a Prescription Re-fill Reminder Email automatically every couple of weeks. The bad affiliate either poses as the legit affiliate in the refill email, or somehow redirects or changes data to reflect to the parent company that they are the ones who brought in the order, not the legit affiliate.

A lot of people have been placing an order with a legitimate affiliate and receiving a second shipment from some random pharmacy.  Another possibility is the bad affiliate is compromising or stealing customer information from the legit affiliate and just flat out placing a duplicative order with another separate sham company they set up.  This way they reap all the profit from the order and remove the parent company entirely.  They startling thing here is it is so blatant and surely people will realize they were charged twice.  Nonetheless the sham company will probably reap the benefits a little while and then disappear before in depth investigations on done.

Bottom line is that malicious affiliates of the parent company or separate sham companies are compromising the security of the legit companies ordering process and customer information.  There is private information and credit card information being compromised.

These parent companies need to address this issue.  It is a detriment both to the legitimate company's reputation but also their bottom line.

If anyone knows any more information on this please let me know.

I had this charge made to my bank account from this Musket Stratagies. How do you keep them from doing it again? I didn't authorize it the first time, so am concerned they may do it again.

Easy. You call your bank and tell them that your checking account has been compromised. (or go down to your bank). They will set you up with a new number, move all your history and info to the new number and get you some new checks and debit card. This way, your history and balance are all the same but you have a new number that the crooks do not have and they won't be able to charge your bank account fraudulantly again.

They do not give you new checks or change your savings account....they void your debit card and issue you one with a new number.

To avoid this happening in the first place I recommend that any emails you get asking you to refill......delete them and only order from the website itself.

Just happened to me.  I found money taken from my account from Musket Strategies LTD.  Phone number 866-2507974.  I already cancelled my card. I don't keep much money in the account that I use for the internet, so I am a bit upset with my bank for allowing this charge.  My account was overdrawn by 144.00, so on top of that, the bank charged me an overdraft fee.

Do not order from any of these online Rx companies until they clear up this problem. You can tell from the form you are filling out if it is an affiliate site because all of the request for med forms are the same.

I've had the same problem with Musket Strategies Ltd. My research into the company shows that they are referenced on the website http://best-usa-rx.com/index.php on the contact page. The address listed is in Gibraltar with no overseas phone number listed. Phone calls to the number listed for the pharmacy are answered by machine asking you to send a fax or leave a message. More and more of these European pharmacy companies are entering into the pharmacy provider market in the US but it would seem some are more reputable and honest than others. I'm still fighting with my debit card bank disputing the charge.

    I got this charge to.
I am curious though, how did you link muskat with that specific website?
have you found any other websites associated with them?

It would have a lot if we knew how to find what sites to avoid.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Nation MD is associated. I got 2 orders. The first I thought was from Nation MD but it was actually from Musket so I was charged twice and since I didn't know who the second order was from I returned it. They won't refund and I can't get the order back so I just lost $127. If anyone knows how we can fight this let me know.

got this charge of $103.00 from Musket Strategies and an international fee on my debit card that I had only 2 weeks because I had to cancel my last one due to fraudulent activity!  I am not using debit cards anymore online.  I will just use credit cards.  They overdrew my account, costing me $70 in overdraft fees.  I know how they got my number, they hijacked the website that I ordered from for legitimate purposes (there billing info) and this charge came from out of the county.  Fortunately my bank will credit me back the fraudulent charges and overdraft fees - but this is really a pain in the butt. The weird thing is that they actually send an order - why do that if they are trying to rip you off anyway??

no phone call--and this happened to me, too.  i finally had to cancel my CC and had to file a police report (the bank asked this--maybe because i'd had repeatedly report these fraudulent "musket strategies" charges).

the "parent company," is "rxpayouts."  you may report this to them--enough reports and perhaps they will address it (since the affiliates are not getting paid; the crooks are).

my own experience has been with ordering through a ONE cartadmin affiliate:  firendlyclinic.  after being told at least twice they have "nothing to do with" musket strategies, i reported the problem to rxpayouts, who assured me they would investigate.  i'd been doing business with friendly for YEARS; this only cropped within the last 6 to 9 months.

worse:  there were a number of charges from overseas pornography (this is what prompted the police report/new CC).

the pharmacy in question had been "roots pharmacy."  first they were in utah, then they were in illinois.  this last time, i got an order with all the hallmarks of a "roots pharmacy order" (same type of print; same sloppy labeling; etc.).  this time it was from some place in oklahoma.

so--that's it for me.  i need meds; have no insurance; have no interest in sucking off my fellow citizens.  i will take my business elsewhere.

(of note:  drugbuyers.com has--or HAD--many posts about this issue, then started deleting/editing posts by members who'd had this problem with "roots"/"musket."  what's strange is that the site is touts itself as being a resource for ordering prescriptions via "medicine" or from on line pharmacies, then edits or deletes members' posts consistently witnessing to this fraud.)

no...there ARE affiliates where this does not happen.  i've ordered from one or two of them over the years with no problem at all.

    best to you.

I placed an order, a hold for that amount shows on my debit statement.  Received the order two days later and my account is drafted the hold amount.  All like normal and the way I've done it hundreds of times.  A couple weeks ago my account went negative and I saw that after an order I did place I had a charge from Musket Strategies Ltd come through 2 days later.  And it just happened a second time this weekend.  Sooo, I decided to contest the charge, freeze my account and get a new card.  I use a bank account specifically for risky internet purchases, separate from my main accounts just for this reason.  I'm afraid of being cleaned out.  And I'd expect little sympathy when it's for borderline legal pharmacy purchases.  Now I have to figure out how to go forward.  I've never not received an order before, but now after a few years of orders, I finally was a victim of fraud.  Very frustrating and scary.
