They called my cell number (which I give to NO ONE) in Dec of 2007 several times saying I won a 8day trip and to claim I had to go to a cookware presentation.  When I said I couldn't attend the show becasue of time constriants they said they'd hold the pkg for us.  I called them in Jan, Feb, March, and now April of 2008 and they said that they had either tried calling me, or were not in my area at the time.  Oh and that I really only won only a 2 day trip.  Totally bogus.  I also got contacted by 21st Century Brides (something or other, couldn't understand) from number 845-781-5025.  They said I won exact same prize as Simplicity Brides and had to go to cooking presentation as usual, only this time I believe they said a presentation about china.  I said I need to check verification times with my FH and to call me back in an hour.  It's been over 2 days and I've heard nothing back from them.  I did research and found out that Simplicity Brides is also Simplicity Gourmet, which is also 21st Century Brides, and also Royal Prestege Cookware.  They change their name according to the areas they are in so that they are not caught.  BBB does not back them and there are TONS of scam reports on every single alias they use.  Don't trust, don't give any money, credit card info, or SS number.  By the way they ask for all these at the shows they give "to secure your free vacation voucher."  Ya right.  BE CAUTIOUS and trust your instinct.

This is American Prestige, Slimplistic Bridal, Gateway Bridal...the list goes on. They were at a bridal show as American Prestige. Attending that show and signing up to win what we thought as a door prize ended up opening my cell phone up to 5 calls week from them. They say I won a free package and/or prizes (it depends). They tell you that but you have to attend a seminar first and after that getting your "prizes" is a little iffy. Its seems like a total scam. Now they somehow have my home number that I didn't give them. My only guess is that the bridal show or even David's Bridal (how I know I gave my cell) sold my name to them. My home phone isn't easy to just look up. They give a variety of company names when they call. They are driving me nuts. I told them not to call me anymore a couple of times. We will see if that happens.

Anyway I wouldn't reccomend to anyone if they are getting married to sign up for anything from American Prestige or American Laser Hair Centers (they were at the show too. How can everyone win a free 500 buck gift certificate. That "sweepstakes" is a scam too)

My fiance and I were suckers. We thought it was a scam but hoped for the best. She was really good at it too. "Aren't you excited?!" "Maybe it just hasn't set in yet." "You have two years to use your all inclusive vacation!!!!" I knew it was too good to be true.... The other people who have written about this hit it right on. I made an appointment to go to the Hampton Inn this Friday at 6. She said we were also getting a package to go with our vacation; him and her aprons. She asked if we liked cooking. That explains what people said about them selling kitchenware. It's disgusting how people are allowed to do this. Thanks to this site popping up when I typed the number in Google, I will be doing something else this Friday!

I've gotten several calls from this number over the past week.  The first 4   times they called, they hung up when they got my voicemail.  They have now left two messages on my voicemail in the last two days.  They claim they have "some great news about a gift package that you registered for and won!"  I didn't recognize the name of the company &  assumed it was someone trying to sell me something, so I never called back.  I decided to search the name & number and found this!  I'm so glad I didn't bother returning their call!  I don't know if they got my info from David's or a bridal show, but either way I'm not pleased about it!

I do not think that Simplistic Bridal (the annoying telemarketers) is the same thing as the website you referenced (www.simplisticbride.com)  The website is a legitimate wedding gown company.  I don't think you should give them a bad reputation by associating them with the telemarketers that try to scam you by telling you that you have won a bridal package.

Simplicity Bride, claiming I registered for a honeymoon in April 2007. And that I won, all I have to pay for is airfare? And that I have to sit in on a 90 minute demonstration? Doesn't sound like I won anything but some sleazy hotel room. I'm guessing scam. If I won something, they'd be sending it to me, not having me come watch some dumb demo. And hey, how come your scam was worth 1500, mine was only worth 700 LMAO

I also signed up on David's Bridal and got this annoying call. I think I will let David's bridal know that it is not right to be giving away our personal information to other companies like that.

They must know that they have a bad rep - the woman who called me said everything very clearly except "Simplicity".  Interesting.  Anyway, this is why when I do sign up for drawings and things, I give my work number.  I never give my cell phone out for that stuff.  I don't give a phone number at all if I can help it, but for the David's "free dress" drawing and the bridal show I went to a while ago, it was required.  They can leave voicemails for me all they want on my work phone.  It'll be annoying, but way better than calls on my cell phone.  I think David's should know better than to provide info to obnoxious companies like this one - but to be fair, some of the legitmate companies that have contacted me through the mail (which I said was my preference) because of David's have actually been worth knowing about.

I too signup on David’s because they told me they needed that information form my party to get discounts. After that “I have won it all”, from flowers, to two honeymoons...It is SO ANOYING!! I called David’s and told them what was happening, they do not sound surprised at all. They up looked my file and said that I was marked as DO not call and that it should not be happening. They promised me that they made notes on my file and sent an email to corporate to follow up. I then went to the National Do Not call list and filed a complaint about the number.

Hopefully I stop receiving call soon.

I got 2 calls right in a row. They must've hung up and immediately called back. I didn't answer and it was on my cell phone.

I hung up the first time I got a call form this place, right after someone said I had won something I had not registered for. Then just today I got a message when I missed the call (on my cellphone), which I ignored, because again I can't win what I haven't registered for. They just called me again several minutes ago. I stopped the lady right away and told her I hadn't registered for anything, but she said a "friend or family member probably registered me at a bridal fair." Uh, no. Given my personal situation, there's not a chance of that being true.

She went on to say that I won this vacation package and wanted me to go to a local hotel this Saturday at 10:30 or 12:30 to pick it up. In all honesty, I'm moving this Saturday. I did NOT tell her where to, although it is locally. For all she knows, I could be moving to another country. But  she said they would "hold the package for me and call me when they're back in my area." ...huh?

For what it's worth, there is only ONE way they got my number, and I know this for a fact: I went in to a David's Bridal several months ago, and I made the HUGE mistake of filling out one of their cards. Big, big mistake. My wedding is fairly casual (I was looking for a bridesmaid dress for myself, as opposed to a wedding gown) and I will not be renting tuxedos. Since filling out that card, I have had several calls from places offering me tux rentals and all this other crap, and they proceed to act as if I was speaking Russian when I say I don't need them.

Now that this is going on, I think I need to go back to DB and demand that they erase my name from everything, as well as make sure they stop selling my information, because they're going to see me in there each and every time I get one of these calls. I don't care how many times they've given it out or who has it; they will come to hate me with a passion unless they get all of their little minions to leave me alone.

Sure enough, I seem to be getting all of these random calls after I signed my life away at David's Bridal.  I swear they are the culprit.  I have never had this many weird phone calls on my phone until I opened up a card with David's and bought my dress/bridesmaids dresses there.

I JUST got the phone call and decided to finally pick up the phone after the fourth time from the same number...."you or someone you know registered your name for a free trip!" the guy rattled off my address, apartment number and my wedding date...

    wow...

Thank you everyone. I rarely contribute to websites, but I have been so confused about why I would get a call from this # and they never left me a vm, so now I guess I know why. I should have not given my cell # out at the bridal expos and other wedding related places I went to.
