These idiots keep calling a minimum of 3 times a day on my hubby's phone.  We refuse to answer the call because it sounds too fishy to me.  I have had some issues with debt but I have always received information via mail on these matters.  This guy sounds like a real scammer to me, we are concerned that it could be harrasment Aaron Johnson and Jason Davis sound like the same guy to me and neither of "them" has left any message saying what company "they" work for.

This person was calling from above telephone number and asking for $ 954.00 of Capital one credit card outstanding balance of five years ago.

Can some one find out what's going on

I just got a call from them in reference to a check I supposedly bounced to Pizza Hut 6 years ago in another state. Supposedly the $15.00 check was going to cost me $150, yet I've never received any other correspondence on this matter 'til now. Can we say, "Statute of Limitations"?

I'm guessing it's a semi-legitimate collections agency, though, because the bozo who called had the last 4 of my social. I'm not happy about that!

I also have delt with "National Account Adjusters" who have called from 866-395-6016, also 303-487-5400.  They claimed to be a law office of which I verified NOT to be true.  I offered to pay my debt and they rejected my substantial offer.  A "John" I spoke to demanded my bank account information before he could mail me any documentation of my debt as I requested.  He told me I could verify his "law office" on line, which I have been UNABLE to do.  They are a collection agency, and will lie and say they are not.  I later was transferred to the floor supervisor "Jason Hartshorn" who called me a, "piece of trash" told me "all i'm interested in, is you opening your checkbook and paying me" and told me I wasn't worth the 42 cents it would cost to mail me ANYTHING!" I don't know who these people think they are but I'll tell you they are not lawyers and DO NOT work in a lawyers office.  I will clear my debt but I will not do it with these people, and it bothers me that they told me they got my personal information off the internet????  What the heck????

Phone number is from a D. Scott Carruthers and Associates, attorneys at law.  Debt collectors who act like jerks. I have not been able to verify if they truly are attorneys because they won't answer that particular question.  Also will not give out any information of the supposed debt.  Only will say "I mailed that out to you a while ago and don't have to mail it again."  Sure haven't received anything like that.

You are incorrect, it is not a scam.  Just pay your bills

Yes I also got a disturbing phone call in the early morning about 9:00am from a so called lawyer from the brothers to brothers law firm they say, And these people had all my information from an old account from U S bank they were telling me how they were going to take me to court and it would be even more money, and that it would be cheaper to just pay the old fee of 389.23 so I told,my boyfriend an he paid for it. They told me I could call them in a hour for a confirmation number after my boyfriend asked for it.It's now been 7 months and I have yet to get any letter saying that I paid this account nothing now I'm reading all these blogs about how people got there money stole. Now I'm worried that these people have this information.One other thing since this has happenend I've been getting more calls from these so called collection agencys.and if anyone has gotten a letter or a call from a place named Island credit group that is also a scam I don't know how there getting peoples information but just be careful.

If you're not the debtor, go get your $500 per violation of the TCPA. Whether you are or you aren't go get $1000 per call that they did not ID themselves for FDCPA violations.

This is the same company as Regent Asset Management Solutions (aka D. Scott Carruthers or whatever, too). They violate the TCPA, FCRA, and FDCPA on the regular basis.

YOU are incorrect. No legit agency is going to force you to pay using your personal bank account information with NOTHING in writing.

Folks if you're receiving communications from this company (or any of their aliases AKA Regent Asset Management Solutions, D. Scott Carruthers, etc.) DO NOT speak with them over the phone. Send them a debt validation request and demand that all further contact be made via USPS. They ARE out to get you, and WILL LIE 100% of the time to get your money.

Go read up on the TCPA, FCRA, and FDCPA. Document all violations and sue their pants off.

Obviously, IF they DID send it (which they didn't), they didn't send it CMRRR. That means you have the only documented first contact. Send them a DV request. If they don't validate, but persist in collections activity, document for FDCPA (and possibly TCPA) violations and file suit.

These idiots call at least once every 2 months & when you call back they are rude & hang up on you. I know this for a fact because we are a business & try to explain to them that fact & to take us off whatever numbers they have. They state they don't have any of our numbers and never state a specific name. Really!, then how come your listed on our called ID? This is usually when they hang up.
THESE ARE NOT LEGIT PEOPLE!!!! NEVER give your personal info to someone over the phone. If they are "collecting" then have them send a statement like all other legit businesses are mandated to do.

866-237-9309 called me today, 8 Mar 2009, on my cell phone. It had to be an automated call, because very few people have that number. No responser when I said "Hello."

I just too received a call from 1 866 267 9309.
I didn't answer it because I didnt know who it was.

A women left a message saying that a "John Taylor" needs to speak to me.
Who ever knew that a famous muscian would like to speak to me.....Okay, I know its not him, so I won't be calling this person back.

I looked up the number through people search and a few other sites, and this is a bill collector.
I do have medical bills, and thats it.

So, when myself and hubby who both work 40 + hours a week, and have worked long term through these companies......supplies medical insurance, the rest of these bills will get paid.
