- lnunesThis is a student loan marketing firm (though they will tell you they are not selling or marketing anything). They as for your name and to confirm SSN (do NOT do this). I believe this company has had their access to the federal student loan database by the Dept. of Education this week (following the discovery of the open access to personal information). Hopefully it will shut these folks down.

- Pioneer collector| 2 repliesYou idiot, you defaulted on a student loan, pioneer credit RECOVERY is collecting on your delinquint debt.
Obviously your college education didn't help you,
1. because you defaulted on your loans, prolly because you didn't put your education to use, and get a job to pay them off,
2. your college education didn't help you at all because your so dumb that you think an agency trying to collect on your failure is trying to sell you more things that you can't pay,
call it back, and get setup into the Federal Loan Rehabilitation and get out of default, or get garnished, it's that simple, - uhhuh13 replies to Pioneer collectorThat's great! Resort to name calling. He may be uninformed, but you're obviously stuck in your high school mentality. Hateful to know that if he does start paying it back, it somehow filters down into your paycheck. I find your reply distasteful, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. Are those enough big words for you?
Have a nice day, A*
P.S. "prolly" is not a word and "your so dumb" should be "YOU'RE so dumb" - pioneer collector also| 1 replyjust commenting on a response by uhhuh13:
maybe you dont understand the business that we are in. first of all, the name calling is coming from the borrowers we deal with everyday. it is not our problem that these people do not pay back a debt that they rightfully owe. it is, however, our responsibility to try and recover these funds they negligently took out and decided not to pay back. so before you start pointing fingers maybe you should look back at the people we are "trying" to help, because the money they dont pay back, is recovered by the taxpayers of this country. just a quick response to the original blogger on this, we are owned and operated by a multi billion dollar company called sallie mae and im sure you have heard of them. we are also contracted by edfund who is the guarantor of the loan that you defaulted on. - M| 1 replyThey just keep calling my tracphone which I use for work, over and over. I have one student loan in good standing. If it was important, why don't they call my house phone? It's been the same since I started College.
- heatherrenee2005 replies to Pioneer collectorGosh I hope that is not your talk off, get a grip. You will collect a lot more money if you realize that yeah a lot of debtors are jerks but a lot are just people who fell on hard times or whatever. Besides that it may be a wrong number.
- heatherrenee2005 replies to MBecause that is the only # they have for you. Why don't you try calling them and politely asking them to call you at a different number. The people on the other end are just that, people, and if you treat them politely they will likely do the same. The reason so many bill collectors are pricks is because that is what they deal with all day long.
- ANONI have to agree with pioneer collector,
you debtors are absolutely [***]!!
example
Debtor A was verfied emp at work, when was called at work, told us he was going to have it discharged through disability, told Debtor A his disability needed to be 100% (Terri Schiavo style) in order to have student loans discharged now, Debtor A said well too bad I'll do it anyway,...
Debtor A contacted our client regarding the disability, and our client told Debtor A that he couldn't get his loans discharged because he became "Disabled" in 95, but took out the loans in 99,
Debtor A felt so PWNED, he rightfully became An hero,...
and in doing so did discharge his loans, since they are pretty much only dischargable through death,
EPIC FAIL! - wahhh replies to pioneer collector alsopioneer collector,
It sounds like you're way too thin-skinned for your job. You're a debt collector. You're not calling people to tell them they've won the lottery, you're calling to inform people that they need to either start paying voluntarily or you'll start garnishing their paycheck. What do you want them to do, whisper sweet nothings into the receiver? LOL.
