Better than a phone call, I received a piece of SPAM snail mail from these people. Their monochrome "letterhead" claimed that it came from "US Airlines" and that "I am pleased to inform you that you have qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip airline tickets.  Congratulations.  These tickets are valid for travel anywhere in the continental U.S. from any major international airport.  The retail value of this award is up to $1,198.00.  Certain restrictions may apply.

We have attempted contacting you several times without success.  This is our last attempt.  If we do not hear from you soon, we may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate.

Please call me today at 1-866-272-7982."

Just a lure to get you to a high pressure sales presentation for their travel club.  You will notice the mail says US Airlines as if that was a real airline name.  The genuine airline is US Airways.  If they meant any US airline, the word "airlines" would not be capitalized so it is clearly meant to deceive.  What you receive are not real tickets, notice they mention vouchers at the end and also "certain restriction may apply" and boy do they.  You can only use the travel vouchers to obtain actual tickets through their travel club and there are fees to "activate" the vouchers along with taxes.  You will also find out that travel days are severely restricted and there may not be a "major international airport" near where you live and you are responsible for getting to/from the departure airport.  All told, it may cost you less for whatever trip you can put together under their restrictions but you may be able to do just as well booking via a local travel agency and avoid the high pressure sales presentation. Also with a local travel agency there are no age, marital status and income level restrictions that do apply to your eligibility to even receive the "free" travel vouchers they are using as lure.

The other amusing ploy is that it is signed "Keli Cole, Vice President" but it doesn't list company where she's a Vice Presiden, nor is there a return address anywhere on the envelop or letter. The letter is "hand" addressed by a machine, made to deceive.  I doubt a major airline would hand address and use a live stamp on their business correspondence, with no return address. It's postmarked Phoenix, AZ.  I didn't try calling the number but did check this site to see if anyone had, out of curiosity.

I filed a mail fraud report because of this letter. I have had my fill of this type of mail and phone calls. Going to take a stand.
