800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Report your callers here, not just to the DNC alone:

Got a voicemail from an unknown number saying they are trying to deliver important documents to my house tomorrow and they are calling from the "document service division" but no company name and no employee name were given and that I should call 866 279 3316 immediately. This just sounds fishy.

Did you know it is illegal to CLAIM to be an attorney of law officer??  A search for this "company" turned up nothing.

Demand written proof of their claim MAILED (not faxed or emailed) to you I they call again & demand their law license number & the states where they can practice.  A real firm should give that willingly.

We received the same message as the others here last week. (Stating that someone had filed a complaint on us and they had some paperwork we needed to fill out. If someone actually files a complaint - you will always be notified by Mail and/or Law Enforcement). The caller ID showed up as "Unknown" - normally our Call Control app on our phone will just pick up and immediately hang up these calls, but it missed this one for some reason. The voice mail left no Identification or Authorization information whatsoever. No names, just this number and a "case number". Out of curiosity, and with the aim of confronting them on what I knew were unlawful practices, I called. All I got was a message, again with no identification, telling me to leave my number, the "case number", my address, and a good time to meet me there to complete the "paperwork"... woah, yeah right!!

This is ABSOLUTELY a scam... I recommend always blocking Unknown and Private numbers - in fact  it is best to get an app that never gives those callers access to your Voice Mail. And don't use you name on your voice mail message - I believe that is where this particular caller got our names to begin with (we have since changed it to just our number). Personally,I never answer any number that I do not know.  It would be nice if these pirate scum could be caught and prosecuted before some unaware senior citizen gets taken in!!

I got the same call last week and at first it seemed odd that they didnt give me any information just a toll free number and my case file. So i decided to call the number back.... I spoke to the lawyer Anderson he informed me about mt status on the case and he couldn't give me any more information until i verified it was me on the phone by saying the only last 4 ssn for my privacy and protection of any fraud(makes sense the only people who know my ssn are me and my mom).... The whole thing was going to cost around 3,000 dollars if i would if gone to court instead they offered me a $700 settlement and i took it 😊 paid and now my debt is clear, they provided all the paper work for future reference to prove I've paid and is cleared, they also let me pay on a pre-paid card just so i will feel more comfortable with my transition.... This is not a scam they really have a website, are willing to answer all questions, and help resolve who ever is sueing you... The choice is just up to you? Whether you want to fight it and maybe even pay thousands of dollars or less for something you did do,?

I believe Jessica was not scammed ... the last couple of sentences in her post suggest she is a shill rather than a victim.

    Lurkers:
A phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

    * Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

    Source:
    https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via green dot, Western Union, or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.

IF you wish to communicate with the supposed collector / creditor, visit  the following page, for example "Action Letters" to snailmail:
    http://www.consumerfinance.gov/blog/debtcollection/

If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:
    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors

All i did was give advice about what happened in my situation because like so many others i looked up the number and had a different view and out come? That doesnt make me fake or a lier? Why do you only question me on what i put but no one else? Is it because im the only one who has something positive to say about them? Thats childish and immature of you but i guess go ahead and assume what ever you want to... Im done talking to you my opinion on them stays the same

Yet you don't name this wonderful company or post the link to their website.. why is that?  You should have this information since you claim they do!

BTW, a online website is not proof of a company's legitimacy. Neither is a phone call, fax or email! Post up the legal verifiable name, address, city and state of this company! I also think their website and BBB page should be up posted also, especially their website. This is public information!

Why dont you guys just call them and ask them yourselves for their website or not like i said before the choice is yours? Their not hiding they give you a number to call ? So i dont care.... Do whatever you guys want its your life all i did was give my perspective ? So say what you want and do want you want to -_-

Just plain unbelievable. I'm at a loss for words. You Indian frauds have always amused me. This? I don't know what to say.
I'm stunned. I knew you weren't very bright. I had no idea. You Indian frauds are now unbelievably stupid. In the US you would be Institutionalized for your own protection.
May God give you grace. It's obvious that Gods grace is the only hope you have.

"When i said i was done talking i meant everyone ?"

But then again i haven't a clue as when to quit and will probably keep on going. and i will continue to twist everything all u here say to try n justify my sad attempts at pushing this scam! so perhaps it best 2 just ignore me and let me ramble on incessantly… if it gets 2 much then report all my posts.

After all, i'll give my best shot at insulting you as that's the only thing my immature mind is good at… especially when i haven't a chance here.

Nice try there, shill.  You've been given the opportunity to provide contact info for these scammers yet you continue to resist.  Nobody comes to this website to look up a number when they were satisfied with the service provided.
You've said nothing about them validating the debt as required by the FDCPA, just how happy and thrilled you were doing business with these crooks.  We can see through your poorly-spelled attempts to obfuscate.
